Heres a Deimos Map for the caves...

(PSN)AbBaNdOn_

Question

Eg0fyVlX0AIkTLC?format=jpg&name=small

Blue, Orange, Yellow, and Green are each their own cave system.  Red are the three Isolation Vault entrances.(the red one farther to left is under ground, enter from the endochrine/river)

  • In the yellow cave I found a few tokens for father, daughter, mother (have never seen tokens in other caves, they are bright blue and big, cant miss em).
  • Blue has a ton of openings along the north/west side of the gutter.   I did not see a single fish spawn on blue side and I tried...could be busted.
  • Orange is the best cave fishing spot, tons of ore nodes
  • Green is an ok fishing spot, kinda small system.
  • 2 of the individual caves lead down to a room with a pedestal but I didnt wanna mark them because im not 100% sure lol.  I think its the one above the left iso vault and the right to the south-east of the abcess iso vault.   The rest of the caves are very short dead ends..

In terms of mining none of it matters,  getting Thaum and Necrothene is extremely difficult.  I will say in terms of mining orange is nice.. but there are BUTTLOADS of mining nodes all over the abcess and everything to the east-south/east.

GL out there!!

Good job man!
About mining, my theory is they probably have a similar number of total nodes per open world map. But since the map sizes vary, the density of the ore veins is different. Like Orb Vallis is 4x the Plains of Eidolon, and its a pain to find nodes, and the Cambion Drift is probably 1/4 the size of PoE, so the ore density is amazing, and you can mine for hours without barely leaving a spot.
"But it's just a theory.... A Gaaame Theory..." Sorry, couldn't resist...

Yeah, i'm not going to count all the veins in the different places.
And you're right, Thaumica is a pain to farm, i harvested hundreds of most other ores (with booster from Baro) while trying to get the 60 i needed for Xaku's Neuroptics.
The game really could use some sort of differentiation, like areas where some ores are more common than others, so that we could go and farm in those specific areas.
Or a Widget that would let us scan the vein and see what material it has before doing the whole minning mini-game, so we can just skip it (and maybe tag the scanned veins green/blue, for us to know which veins we skipped).

The link is busted for me.  Tried from both my phone and desktop.  Is it working for anyone else?

Alot of people tagging this post..  This map was made along time ago... still basically the same stuff going on...

-I Think they did fix the light blue section for fishing!!  I actually havent been back to test it.

But for the newbs...  The red circles are the isolation vaults...  They are now set in stone...

-Far left red dot is TIER 2 isolation vault.   THE spot to get Arum Spinosa parts.   Its still in the caves so drop down to the endochrine river before trying to find that mother..

-Middle Red Dot is TIER 1 isolation vault.   Nothing special in that one...

-Far right red dot is TIER 3 isolation vault.  THE spot for Sporothrix parts.

-Anytime your in caves look for green puke/poop spots on the ground then look UP.  (or look for cryptolix in caves who are always around those green spots).   I forget the name of the critter but when something moves through the green area the guys on the ceiling drop down.  Tranq em in the tail/exposed bit and they will drop to the ground for pick up.   The cripto's dont really ever trigger it so I just roll through it lol.

Cant really think of any other tips or tricks for Cambion Drift..

-Theres little orange pus sacks EVERYWHERE in Cambion Drift.  Outside on the surface, in caves, down in isol vauts.   These orange pus sacks have random Drift resources INCLUDING fish parts.    If you smash a ton of these you shouldnt have to worry about the rare fish parts when building stuff...

-Spinal cord comes from cave fish.   Vitri and Chroni whatevers..

-Cranial Foremounts is from the super rare cave fish that REQUIRES bait Myx whatever..

-Arum and Sporothrix both take alot of the newer fish.  They are both on the outside during different times.  One is the Flagg...  I totally forget the other one....

===============

I still see alot of demand for stuff from Deimos.   This place is a gold mine for the non lazy.   All those previously rare mods from stalker acolytes are here like Blood Rush, Weeping Wounds, Condition Overload ect..   The iso vaults are full of mech mods, mech parts, mech WEAPON parts(for morgha/cortege), Arum/Sporo,  The stupid broken kitgun arcanes (lightning one is currently the only good one i think).
