There IS a way to make Loid go faster in the Vaults! But are you willing to sacrifice for it?

Many of us have gone though the caves ,

we have carved a path of carnage and casings,

We have fought against tooth and nail and gas and time!

and that last enemy is something we could only fight to a standstill and never defeat,

Time was always against those that wanted to get everything now!

and though you cannot get everything right now, you can get it faster now!

TLDR:

you can use stims ,

had completely forgotten these things exist (they existed since the introduction of defection i believe just never bothered to use em) lasts 2 minutes and seems to give a speed buff of 50% roughly.

you can also use wisp and volt, i prefer not to use mats but if anyone wants to then more power to you. hope this helps.

I just slap Wisp's speed buff onto Loid.

 

Still slow as frick, but better than nothing.

Pardon the possibly silly question since I haven't tested, but doesn't Switch Teleport work?

It does , but unless you teleport to just the right spot Loid will move back to where you teleported him from so it might actually slow you.

Similar issues with some early pathing on POE drones i imagine. might be an early bug that gets fixed

its from the iso vault bounty, you might need to do tier 3 for a better chance.

I second the power strength wisp -  he motors right along with that.  Saw a uboob video where someone said volt speed works too but on console at least that only gave him a 1second burst of speed then back to his slow-arsed crawl.

The worst is when you have 1 minute left on your smeeta buff, he's done with all 4 pillars, but it takes him 1:20 to get back to the vault to even show the code.🙄  As if the vault runs weren't slow enough with a minute of inane babble at the start of each one (even t2,t3 - no creativity but the exact same text) and the 3 minute cave snooze fest where mining is the best solution to pass the time while waiting for the second sphincter door to open🤣. ~35min to do all three vaults and if you removed the time wasters, it should be closer to 15min (which would be more reasonable given how many times you have to run it).  But I guess its like farming the vandals from ESO ...
