Review of the Necramech fights

The issue with the Necramechs is because of how contradictory and unclear its design is:

  • Immune to Status Procs and Knockdown

There's nothing visually interesting that makes the mech react to our damage, aside from ramming our own Necramechs into a hostile one stunning it. The status immunity contradicts the status rework back in March 2020.

  • Lack of Visual Feedback/Deceptive Visual Feedback

The visual effects of both the Necraweb (1) and Gravemines (3) have a larger effect than it portrays. Storm Shroud is notorious for this, as it turns on faster than Iron Skin. There's no warning other than you potentially damaging yourself along with the Shroud being active on the mech. Rebecca from last week's Home Stream said not to attack them when they have the Shroud up, yet we can only deactivate it if we attack it, which reflects damage back at us!

  • Tiny Weakspots & Immune to Damage

Vay Hek and the Tusk Thumpers come to mind. In tandem with outright damage immunity and lack of visual feedback, most players won't know where to target the first time the fight them. Aerolysts get a pass since they have better visual feedback (attacks, weakspots, slow, and how long it's vulnerable).

How come our mechs'/controlled mechs' are completely vulnerable and yet these aged berserk Necramechs are immune to damage everywhere but three spots?

The hostile mechs need better visual feedback from our attacks and their abilities (Storm Shroud in particular again). They have the potential to be fun to fight, especially with our own Necramechs, but it leaves a sour taste when you first fight them in the Isolation Vaults compared to the Heart of Deimos quest.
