so bile, he is wanting 3000 cryotic for 30% so I have to go out and do 30 extractors to throw into this thing to not get it close to the 80% I need, and subsequent feeds give less or have to be another resource so what other options do I have to get bile up?

copernics but it will only feed in chunks of 15,000, I only have 20,000 in over 600 hours game time.

argon crystals? he dosn't like those anymore I fed him all the ones i had doing vault runs.

isos similar situation, I have only 700 of those in all the hours I put in and he wants 400

so again wanting 90% of my cubic diodes or similar for each other resource!! I was wondering if people who have been playing from the beginning are in the same situation? or are there just endless stockpiles of millions of resources that just make this a none issue?

Use the search function. This topic is already beaten to death

50% this.

Those who this system is aimed for don't have an issue. The rest for which DE lowered the requirements have issues because they want to dive into a system which shouldn't be on their menu yet

So this system is only aimed for people who psychically knew which resources would be scarce for Helminth and grinded them hard months in advance for dozens of hours? Seems legit.

The issue isn't about people trying to get into the system too early. The issue is that some categories have resources that would take hours of active grind (as in, not passively gaining those resources while doing other things) for a single feed.

this system is aimed at 'long time' players who have an excessive amount of unused resources

Indeed, I am one such player. I have millions of several types of resources and an abundance of almost every rare resource in the game. What I don't have is hundreds of thousands of Cryotic, hundreds of Thermia, thousands of Somatic Fibers, or millions of Railjack resources. I play quite a bit. I don't play everything and I certainly don't like hard grinding on single missions. The Helminth system requires me to have certain specific resources and refuses to let me burn my millions of spares. It is not a proper dump, just another type of grind.

I thought it was meant to be aimed at High MR players not long time players, should be a difference ? it would be nice if I could at least specify how much of what thing I get to feed isntead of having to give him 15000 of a resource I only have 17000 of

I got the impression it was supposed to be a way to offload excesses of resources but yeah seems like another grind

you don't have to choose those.. i just picked which i had a lot of.. also its not like you need to complete it asap, just passively stock up and use it next time :D

I've already commented on similar threads elsewhere, but another point is that a lot of players won't even want to subsume every single frame. Many will consider a lot of the transferable abilities 'useless'. So that's less resources needed for them.

For completionists like myself, we are the ones that will probably also have picked clean levels for years now and have those piles of resources to burn.

Yes, but WHICH resources? I have literal millions of Ferrite and Rubedo, but I have next to no scannable plants because I don't hate myself that much I have hundreds of Thermia because I like the event, but I have relatively little in the way of Railjack resources because that mode hasn't really been developed enough to bother with. Just because someone is a "long time" player doesn't mean they're going to have an excess of ALL resources. Once again, common resources have no value because very few of them actually got used and the system is purpose-designed to require us to use rarer resources. Well, if we want any kind of feeding efficiency, that is.

There's also a point that keeps getting ignored in all of this. Yes, some of us are sitting on massive piles of resources, but not INFINITE piles of resources. We built those up over years of play. The rate at which the Helminth asks us to use those is so drastically out-of-proportion with the earn rate of some of these resources that we're GOING to run out. And then what? Farm for more resources? Or do you figure "long time players" will just natively have enough resources to max out the Helminth without ever having to earn more?

And what happens moving forward? Say all of us "long time players" max out the Helminth. What of those who are now "new players" but will eventually be "long term?" Do they just ignore the Helminth for another 7 years before engaging with it? Because trying to engage with it now without a massive stockpile of resources is a grind worse than Focus. Surely that system can't be intended for a snapshot of the community as it stands right now. That would absolutely murder its longevity.
