Expedite Suffering problems (minor tweaks will make it good)

I wanna start off by saying that I requested a very similar ability in the Broken Warframe suggestion thread. So I was very excited when they announced it was gonna make it into the game.

My suggested ability has more to it tho.

"Catalyze

Consume damage over time effects on enemies in an area around you, dealing all remaining damage over time instantly and applying a cold status effect slowing the enemy.

Gain a Soul Charge for each enemy harvested, up to a maximum of 10.

+30 armor for each Soul Charge you have."

If you are a Diablo 3 player you recognize what this ability is. Its almost a complete replica of Witch Doctor's Soul Harvest ability while using the Jade set.

 

Alright, so time for feedback on the skill we have in game.

The range is too low.

The cast animation is too clunky.

The payoff is lackluster on anything but VERY niche setups.

 

Suggestions:

Make the area of effect be 360 degrees base. And let the range scale with ability range.

Let the casting animation be instant, but add a short cool down to it (1 or 2 seconds would be fine. Mostly to counter accidental multiple casts)

Payoff: Let us gain a buff based of enemies affected by the skill. 

(looking back on my suggestion Im not sure 30 flat armor would cut it)

Maybe something like, "you gain a charge for each enemy affected by the skill. Gain 10% status duration per charge. Charges last for 30 seconds with a cap of 10 charges total"
