Right mouse button has become unstable.

XTROPrime

Question

I've looked this up and none of the threads on this have a solution yet.  I wondering if any news has come up about it.

The problem is that my right mouse button has become unstable when I use it for aiming weapons or scanners.  It zooms to the target, then unzooms, then zooms, then unzooms, and finally zooms. Its very irritating . Just started recently.  I've use another mouse through a different port and its happens on that one too, so its the game and not the hardware. Any help more be appreciated.

Have you tried another game? Trying another mouse doesn't rule out hardware faults. All it tells you is that the mouse itself isn't faulty - or that both mice are faulty.

If you think it is the game, verify the download cache through the launcher (hit the Cog).

Windows 10  'debug the mouse'  feature told me to unplug the mouse from its UBS port  and leave it out for a few moments  and then put it back in. That will force WINDOWs to update the drive.  Took it out , blew on the USB plug to clear any dust and put it back in. Fixed the problem.   Thanks again guys.   Just need a whack in the side of the head to start something different.

For the sake of anyone else who searches on a problem like this: the problem came back. I end up buying a new mouse.

Yes, it turned out my mouse 's right button had ceased working properly.  All hardware, not a software problem.  I replaced the mouse and the sniper scope and mining drill stays up.  Happy days.
