To be honest I find this part of the bounties a waste of time it should be changed or just removed in my opinion.

Fallen77 Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 4 minutes ? Maybe on a bad day. 8 minutes ? Lol The only time I have failed uploading everything was the first ever time I ran this bounty, after that, just kill infested before they get close to him and he'll upload 100% everytime.

kingowenslim Posted September 2, 2020 Author Posted September 2, 2020 The spawns are slow the samples drops are low and I've protected him with 0 damage and he still doesn't fully upload i have several clips of him not uploading all samples out of 13 times only once he did
(XBOX)Skippy575 Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 I saw a post similar to this last week Reb commented on. It's doable solo, but if you're in a group it's impossible to complete. It takes 3 seconds to upload one unit of data, so 25 units in one minute can't be done. That's a full squad, not sure about 2 player squad.

But for the record I prefer your translation :D
Ahniar Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 As long as he doesnt take damage from melee units, he seems to always finish uploading all the data, at least I've been having no problems with that part (Protea's fan nades ftw). Any area of denial tactic should work in theory.

JackHargreav Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 He's pretty #*!%ing annoying. Sometimes it takes a few minutes to complete his part sometimes it takes like 10 minutes, sometimes he dies from a few shots sometimes he doesn't.

We regularly annihilate absolutely everything in the area during that part, and he still fails every single time.

It was the same way on pc, but now he goes plenty fast if you keep safe, and they said something in a pc hotfix about fixing it.

Looking at the front page, PC is 29.0.6 live, everyone else is just in development. We've gotten a few hotfixes, so hopefully soon. Also hopefully a fix to the absolutely horrific pathfinding and spawns of the enemies in the drift. It's extremely frequent that enemies will stop, or appear to stop spawning until we find either the ONE enemy that appears to be bottle necking everything, or the spot that they've all grouped up at. Once we find and dispatch them, suddenly the area is flooded with enemies like it's supposed to be.
0_The_F00l Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 He is rather annoying (not the actual character, the character is actually quite good and reminds me of ticker), The poor spawning and low drop chance in the first half is an absolute time waste. Whenever I get this bounty objective I always think "well, there goes some time I will have to spend waiting" The uploads was bugged when played in a group earlier but Is fixed now, never had issue uploading all data if I just kept the dude away from enemies. I feel there is some bug in the spawning or drop logic to make it longer than the other objectives.
kingowenslim Posted September 2, 2020 Author Posted September 2, 2020 I thought that was De's doing because I know they want lot's of play time from us so they stretch things and if they did stretched that one it's pissing 😤 me the f^$* off pretty well I normally exit when I get that part of the bounty because it's faster to restart then continue with his mission
Fl_3 Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 The character is one of the best in this update, the mission is a bit janky, but, I'm still finding it fun mainly because of the character himself. I've never had to spend more than a few minutes on this quest, and as far as I recollect, He's never failed to upload all the samples while I've been guarding him. Then again, I only started playing the new content the other day after the first round of hotfixes dropped. With Digital Extremes, it doesn't pay to rush into new content because everything will be rebalanced, buffed or nerfed within the first week.
Numerikuu Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 A low duration Baruuk with decent range and energy efficiency spamming Lull around the place is more than enough to protect him during his upload phase. Did this last night in a 4man pug and he uploaded with no issue at all, plus bonus reward.
HoustonDragon Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Never had a problem, the fragments take awhile to drop from the mobs, but once he starts uploading, just be sure you're there protecting and keeping him from being hit. He always finishes 10/10 when I'm doing them.

I can't imagine ESOL classes are offered in space totalitarianism school where your trained goal is to A. shoot things until it dies or B. shoot until you die. Inability to speak a different language does not equal lack of intellect, even if the brain sees it that way.
