MR 24 is the test where, as your operator, you have to damage a sphere in the center of the room until you destroy it. There are some energy boosters and a couple of infested Mothers that toss out maggots. The original concept was managing to avoid dying in your very squishy operator while doing damage using the Mote amp.
HOWEVER, if you allow the enemies to kill you, you suddenly get all the upgrades from the focus schools that you've gained to this point PLUS your current amp.
So, if you want to cheese it, just let your operator die once (you get three "deaths") then go to town on the orb and the maggots.
