why lock content behind a grind wall, with even more grind after unlock?

what the hell is this trend of massive grind walls behind grind walls. I m ok with grinding, infact I love grinding! if it's under the notion of what the game is advertised as. I'll kill a million mobs if I need to, but why are you forcing us to do idiotic tasks for unlocking content? I don't want to fish, hunt, mine or scan stuff to unlock a feature, just to do more grinding within that feature.  this is ninjas in space, not chores in space.  if you're going to make us grind, make it so it's us KILLING things, not anything else.  is it really that hard to understand?  and now I have yet another piece of content I will not be touching.  helm feature was actually pretty neat idea, now I'll just be dropping the game for a few more months.

I mean, you don't to mine or fish that much with the token system. Just do bounties for mother tokens to turn in for rep. Not like there's much to this new update aside from some mastery stuff and the necramech (which sucks anyway).

to unlock the helm feature, conservation is mandatory. mine, fish, scan, whatever are just extra chores no one should be subjected to.

It is either disingenuous or ignorant to claim you don't have to do much fishing, mining or capturing.

All of the new items take tons of fish and metal parts and the new pets require enormous amounts of son tokens.

Sure, you can spend the next 100 days buying grandmother tokens 1 at a time with mother tokens but realistically you need tons of every token.

Do the requiem pillars, they give out oodles of fish and gem materials.

for someone who wants nothing to do with these idiotic chores. yes, it's a huge grind to get to rank 3.  just to unlock a feature system that requires even more grinding.

Define ton, because I'm sitting on 71 son tokens, and this update's only been out for a week. I also got enough mats to craft every mutagen/antigen for the new pets. As for grandmother tokens, you only need 80 of it for the 4 seriglass shards to build the new weapons. The only thing I'm waiting on is just the daily rep to reset so I can turn in more rep to get all the things from each vendor.

not everyone is a nolifer like yourself. I m asking warframe to be warframe. not the next space life simulator.

the way the system is, you don't HAVE to do the minigames, but it's far more efficient. do enough bounties, Vault runs and Void Pillars and you can probably get by, but that's how open worlds are in warframe, for better or worse.

we all have our limits though, and I'm rapidly approaching mine with these bloody Necramech Weapon parts...

I haven't even been no lifing this update. It's pretty easy to come across all this stuff. The fact that I can casually get this much done within a week's span pretty much says it all about this update. I'm not even trying to defend the update by saying it's good, I'm just saying all this stuff isn't that much to do. Also, the guy above me brought up a point I forgot about, you can do iso vaults for fish parts and gems, so... the only thing you need to do is catch a few of those animals and you're done with it forever.

your casual is obviously not my casual. I have 2 days in the week I can play and when I play I m not looking to do these chores.  no unique system feature should be locked behind a grind wall. it's just bad design.

I've been playing warframe since day 1 release. these new additions are just plain bad. the grind is now 100 times worse than what it was before. maybe it's the nature of the open words, but the system just doesn't work.

I mean, you can't kill enemies to get all of them in game, and you have to *GASP!* Scan hidden statues or figurines. These must be Complaint number one in your book, due to DE not just giving you them through mindless, "Press 4 to Win" slaughter. Imagine that, needing to put some amount of minimal effort into something in Warframe to get it.

They can't press 4 to win on those, or mash [e], so I'm pretty sure that's not a viable solution for them. X'D
(Not to mention you have to Grind Tenno stuff and Amp stuff first to be able to do it, and as they've already made clear, they don't want to farm anything that doesn't involve kill Kill KILL!)

is some system mechanics locked behind lore frags? then why the hell do I want them? if you like running around scanning things, good for you. I don't, and options should be given for unlocking a full unique system.

it's a grind that I do not want to participate in. like I said, I have 2 days I can play and about an hour and a half each session.  so no, I don't want to be doing chores while I play games.

If you have been playing since day 1, you must know that DE really likes strong-arming players to play their most recent additions, whether you like it or not. Granted, you can just skip it but then the update was a waste as you don't get to try anything new. Didn't PoE and orb vallis have anything you wanted to try to make you think this is a new addition?

80 grandmother tokens is an enormous number of tokens, it is 800 assorted tokens (less son tokens now that he takes 2, but most people will be saving their son tokens for the 60 they need to gild pets). I have completed everything on Deimos except for a few scintillant and with a booster it took an enormous amount of time farming, fishing and sorting feces; none of which is fun. I would rather spend 50 hours actually playing the game to get the items than spend 20 hours on these tedious MMO tasks.

I mean your entitled to your opinion but just cause you don't like it doesn't mean other players don't like fishing, hunting and mining. You could always just avoid the content and just play the kill things forever grind. The helmith systems is nice but it isn't something that you need to necessarily play the game.

not asking for those things to be removed. just add an equivalent with warframe's core gameplay loop to achieve those goals or unlocks.
