Two_0ns Posted September 5, 2020 Posted September 5, 2020 I have already see some discussion regarding the current broken mechanics of the Marked for Death ability + finisher kill combo, but that got me thinking; why isn't there a mechanic similar to that already? Warframe is a hoard, looter-shooter that emphasizes on killing many enemies in a little amount of time. Finishers, all be it very powerful, are clunky, break the flow of combat, and only target 1 enemy at a time. There are many abilities that are designed to open up multiple enemies to finishers, but the animations are slow enough that a player may get through 5 enemies on average before the other enemies are no longer open to finishers. The current Marked for Death ability + finisher kill combo will copy and spread the finisher damage to nearby enemies, at the bare minimum. I've seen the AOE crit! I do agree that this broken mechanic needs to be fixed, but I also suggest DE take a look at the Finisher mechanic as a whole. I suggest that a reworked Finisher system be similar to Ash's Blade Storm; the player will jump between enemies that are in close proximity, preforming finishers on each enemy. There should be 2 separate animations: the current one we have for single target finishers, and a second one that is half the time of the original that will be preformed on each individual enemy that is within the conditions of the multi-finisher combo. To prevent this from being considered too OP, I suggest the max amount of enemies that can be stringed in this combo be between 5-10.

I mentioned something to this, that Finishers target one -- you climb up on a guy, kill him, climb back down, climb up another in-range guy, repeat... What I suggested was climb up one guy, kill him, jump directly to another in-range target and kill him (=cut out the climb down/up), jump to another in-range target, etc. -- you can get more done this way. You're a ninja -- you should be able to do this, right?
