thaumica mineral not dropping at all

i spent half an hour just mining in Deimos, looking for Thaumica to finally build my Necramech parts. but to my surprise, of all the dozens or hundreds of the other 7 or so mineral types there are i got, i only got 5 Thaumica. and i didn't mine it, the obelisk "challenge" gave it to me.

i have no idea if this is supposed to be this way, but i got way more of the rarer ores and gems than Thaumica. it feels a little unfair how rare it is and how little you get, if you even get any.

so, is it just my luck or this thing is literally impossible to mine?

It's not just you, I found this post because I'm having the same exact problem on PC. I mined for around an hour and got a ton of every single other mineral but absolutely no Thaumica. I'm almost certain that it's not even in the drop pool for mining, every single one I've ever gotten was either from obelisks or vaults. I was also having trouble getting Heciphron, but at least I got 11 of that by the time I left. It's totally bugged.

I agree, this resource is far to rare. It's so rare if you made a bet against yourself that if the next mining node didn't drop it you would lose.

Funny thing is, I got 3 from an Obelisk. I got sick of mining the nodes, It was pointless. Hell some of the node don't even work. I found a node that was highlighted under the map terrain. I mean I got a indicator box under the terrain.
