(PSN)lydon123
Out of all the resource requirements required to gild things, 10 son tokens is a big time sink compared to other requirements. I mean you can just buy wisps and shelter debt bonds but for 10 son tokens you need to hunt down like 20 different types of animals. Personally i'm just gilding 1 pet and never touching it again. I don't find hunting fun and as far as i know there is no other way to get son tokens but please correct me if i'm wrong as I have not played too much deimos. Edit: I successfully gilded my panzer and am happy with that. There seems to be some confusion below so will clarify that it cost 10 son tokens to gild. You get 15 back for selling a gilded pet which nets a profit of 5. This is fine if you are going for mastery, otherwise it is faster to create pets which costs 0 tokens, just resources and weakened pets from the wild, max it to 30 then sell it for 10 tokens. Rinse and repeat. I still find these pets the most tedious things to gild out of all the gildable items in the game. Happy with the panzer, don't care about mastery so not touching this system ever again unless they buff the other types of pets. Thanks all for the informative replies. Wyrmius_Prime
Do all the pets you think that are totally useless to you first. They can be traded back for 15 tokens, profiting you 5 tokens. Then save the good ones last that you actually want to keep.

Nice tip...I never even thought of that but I had so many Son tokens it was absurd as I spent a week hunting the Avichaea when Deimos was first released. :)

johnno23
yes..but you will earn some decent mastery points for the 1st of each type.

I think it is tied to the number of polarities, because my 1 forma Panzer would give 20 if I traded her over. Gilding adds 1 polarity so the price goes from 10 to 15. Els236
There are 2 ways to get stupid amounts of Son Tokens: - Do a little conservation and get lucky with rare animals, then hope that Son has a bundle of 4-5 Tokens for a cost of 1 Panzer Vulpa and 1 Medjay Preda. - Craft the lowest tier mutagens/antigens and then create a bunch of Vizier Predasites or Sly Vulpaphylas (the most common). Level them to 30 and then trade them in to Son for 10 Tokens each.

That is the the same system as for zaws, kitguns and amps.

This is false. You actually gain less gilding them. Turning in a max rank non gilded pet nets you ten tokens. for gilded you spent ten tokens and 5k faction and only get 15 token back, so you gain 5 tokens Note that you only pay credits to revivify the pet. No tokens or faction are spent until you gild it.

That's what's been adviced to OP at the very beginning.

If you aren't gilding anything why would you even bother with it? Well if you need the breed then you are going to want to gild and level them, then decide if you want to turn them in after. But I got enough son tokens to gild one of each type by taking some of the many extra weakened pets and leveling them up, then turning them in ungilded for 10 tokens. This then allowed me to gild the ones I wanted, though requiring both 10 son tokens and 5k faction is honestly pretty crappy. So is not giving faction for conservation and instead requiring multiple tags to get son tokens from them, where before you could trade them in for floofs and get faction. DrakeWurrum
I have noticed that getting Son Tokens is a lot easier than a lot of people complain about... but mostly that's because, when I want them, I just go running around the map hunting down the random wild ones, rather than messing with the tracking and echo lure stuff. Still wish I got Tokens rewarded for simply capturing them. 1 hour ago, Wyrmius_Prime said: It costs 10 and you get 10 back, thus it is +/- 0. However if you sell a gilded pet for 15 you profit 5. Instead of leveling the pet to 30 and selling it for 10 tokens, you should level it to 30, gild it for 10 tokens, and then level it to 30 again to sell for 15, for a total gain of... 5 tokens. So instead of getting 10 for leveling to 30 once, you're saying it's better to get only 5 for leveling it twice?

Pets cost no tokens to create, but trade in for 10 tokens when maxed out. That's exactly what I did in order to pay for the Guilding of my Pharaoh Predesite. If I ever need Son Tokens, I'd much rather just buy pets, level them up in Sanctuary Onslaught and sell them back to Son than do Deimos' broken, buggy, unfun version of Conservation. Just need to keep making mutagen/antigen variants that I have spare resources for. And even then, I can just run a few Iso Vaults and usually get enough of those.
