Cambion Drift freeze glitch

Tried this out thrice, and got frozen everytime.

 

In free roam at the Cambion Drift, at the Abcess. If I shoot down a Gravid Blastema, and then spear it with an Ebisu fishing spear. I go into a state where the only thing I can do is look around or use the menu. I can't use items, switch weapons, or throw out the fishing spear. Can't move, or roll either. /unstuck doesn't solve the problem either. Dieing however does.
