Baza not able to use Terminal Velocity

Let me clarify, this has been brought up a long time ago, but has yet to be fixed. I wasn't able to find anything on if this was intentional or not.

Baza has always been a favorite of mine and is not terrible by any means when modded properly. With the introduction of exilus mod slot for weapons a while back, it would have been sweet to put Terminal Velocity on it like I did my Dread. But the mod simply doesn't appear when I am modding it. Ever. This is strange because Baza is considered a rifle, but this rifle mod is not able to be placed on it. The biggest gripe people have with this weapon, is the falloff. Personally, it's not that big of a deal, but it wouldn't be bad to have it reach further without losing damage.

Any chance we can fix this in the next hotfix? Or is this on purpose?

If someone could move this to the proper forum, that would be cool. Think I posted it in a 'not so great' spot

This is the correct area. I think they don't want to allow that mod to work with the Baza. Flight speed increases the effective damage range. So 30m-60m with +40% flight speed becomes 42m-72m. It's for this reason they probably don't want it to work on the Baza as a way of balancing it. Although the range restriction on that weapon has always annoyed people and it is a really ineffective balancing method even though it doesn't need that to be balanced.

Im going to take the time to correct both of you:

Terminal velocity is for projectile weapons, like the aforementioned dread.

Fun little note: baza is hit scan. Terminal velocity doesn't work on hit scan weapons...like, at all.

Shotguns. They can use projectile flight speed mods hit-scan or not. They work the way I described it would work for the Baza if it could use it...

So yeah they could allow flight speed mods to work on the Baza, like shotguns, to increase the effective range.

Huh, i wasn't aware of that.

I mean, i don't understand why anyone would use terminal velocity over say....more dmg or crit?

But, TIL.

Tigris is hit scan, but can use a mod to increase falloff. Fatal Acceleration.

My bad lol, just saw someone else correct you after I posted that.

It's alright.

I personally had no idea that shotguns could use it, as i never took the time to see if it was available(most of them are hitscan, so why would I?)

after learning this, now i'm wondering why baza/prime can't use it,

Exactly! I mean I can understand this point a little though:

Terminal velocity would be 60% so it really does bring the usability up a lot. The accuracy on this thing is pinpoint, a big range would make it a champ. But to be honest, with all the other great options out there for weapons (Tiberon prime comes to mind), I just don't get why this can't be rectified. Excluding mods from guns that are clearly meant to be used in this EXACT scenario seems a little weird. They just pick what works and what doesn't? Seems a little biased.
