Question about destroying dojo rooms

So I’m currently rebuilding our dojo and am planning to destroy most of the rooms and build it from the ground up. My question is since our clan has a grand hall as our spawn point will I be able to destroy the lower tier halls such greater and great halls? If so what happens? Also I’m wondering what happens to decoration that is in a room being destroyed.

Nope.  The lower-tier halls are prerequisites, and they can only be deleted after deleting all the higher-tier halls.  

The exception to this rule is the starter Clan Hall, which you can destroy at any time as long as it's not your spawn point.

Any resources put into a room's decorations are refunded to the clan vault when that room is destroyed.  If they're donated decorations then those also go back to your vault, I believe.
