Portlalaland
My Nekros: Despoil mod for desecrate Komorex and Tombfinger for slash procs Ripkas with Amalgam Ripkas True Steel for 100% gore chance. Questions: Can desecrate rolls so you have a chance to get a mod or it's just going to be matrices only? Wiki only says "double the Orokin Matrix drops". If some Rhino or Octavia player killed the mech pretty quick and both fallen arms still on the floor. Can Nekros desecrate the arms as well? Do slash proc even worth it or should use other weapons suggested in the wiki (i.e. ignis, catchmoon)? Is it even possible to slash mech into pieces? Thanks. Wiki only says "double the Orokin Matrix drops". Wiki says: " Nekros' Desecrate can be used to double the Orokin Matrix drops from the Necramech since they have a 100% chance of dropping." Pretty much a useless note highlighting the drop chance of Matrices. Desecrate works for mod drops as well.
Firepotato32
The arms cannot be looted, and it cannot be cut up. Better to just run normal weapons

Thanks. the arms are not what give you the items as they can respawn back on the mechs body after awhile. As the mech itself when it explodes will grant you loot. As Quantaminum said it will give you another chance at a mod the Cheska also can get loot from the mech but havent personally tried it but wiki did say it could work too. Slash wont help out as the mechs core body is what left when you kill it an that is not able to severed like body parts are.

The Chesa Kubrow works, but would not proc if nekro used desecrate as they fall into the same loot category. Not to mention the mod has a 10s CD which is not cool on T2 and T3 vaults. Then Nekros can proc again for the 3rd mech?

Then Nekros can proc again for the 3rd mech? it was restricted both ways. If the desecrate proc'd, chesa would not; on the other hand if chesa proc'd, desecrate would not. My point is, if you don't have nekro in team, you could bring a chesa. But if nekro is present/available, desecrate is better because it has a negligible CD, making chesa useless. The 10s CD is also a no for higher tier vaults, because chesa randomly picks whatever in range to loot. If there is an infested died next to a necramech, you would need to rely on RNG. Or when you could kill multiple necramech with less than 10 seconds apart.
