Tutorial: How To Start Your First Kavat Business!

Before this tutorial starts, just to let you guys know that I'm entirely new to this and I hope you guys enjoy, also, I forgot to mention this, I sell the golden smeeta kavats for 450-600, whilst you should be buying them for roughly 300. There are some desperate people in this game that will give all three for 300 even.

 

So, you bought your first couple kavat imprints and you're ready to begin your kitty business.

#1: First of all, what do I do? 

Well, once you've bought your imprints (hopefully from me, check my other thread), you need to actually give these random templates some life. You need to acquire 10 kavat genetic codes. These can be found in the newly created Heart Of Deimos, in any mission. I personally prefer Horend, because it takes the least amount of time and is easy. Once you've started the mission, you should be well-prepared for an easier time. I'd recommend playing a stealth frame and using synthesis scanners, with the three widgets equipped for a chance to double your drop, and faster scanning + infinite scans. Enter the mission, and look around for these kitties. Most of them are invisible unless engaged in combat, so keep an eye out. 

 

#2: Okay, what's next?

Now, you have to acquire a kavat incubator segment, which is super easy, just go to hydron and run something like 20 waves, done. After that, you need a incubator power core, which the blueprint can be acquired from the market for 50 000 credits, or it can be bought for 35 platinum. 

 

#3: Sooo.... I'm done?

Yes! Well, if you plan on just using this kavat for leisure purposes, of course. If you did just buy 2 imprints to have a kavat, then after last step, you breed the kavat in the incubator segment and put in the two imprints for a combined imprint, and there you go! The kavat is yours. 

 

#4: I'm here to make some platinum.

Well then, you're not done with this kitty then yet. After you've bred the kavat, you need to copy three imprints from the kavat in the genetic tools section in the incubator. A blank template costs 15 platinum and 10 platinum to rush, but you can just wait the 1 1/2 hours if you're not in a rush. Do this three times for maximum potential. Now you have three imprints ready to sell, whilst keeping the kavat at the same time! win/win.

 

#5: But, that's just one trade. 

Now this step is if you want to continue this process over and over. Keep two imprints, or even three if you want more end "sets". A set would be considered two imprints, enough to breed a new kavat. Once you've gotten these imprints, re-do the steps in Step #3. And if you've got one left over, you extract another three imprints from the new kavat which will be the exact same, (you can store infinite kavats) you'll have a total of 4 imprints. From here you have a choice, one for the people who want platinum and are ready to jump into the market, and one for the people who have platinum to spare for a greater investment. The first method, would be to use 2 imprints to sell, and use the other 2 to breed another kavat, and then you receive the 3 imprints from the new kitty, and from this kitty you create another one with the 2 imprints out of the 3, and you continue the cycle until every other kavat you breed, you sell one. The second method, would be to take the 4 imprints and make two new kavats, which would result in 6 imprints, and with those 6, you make three new kavats which creates 9 imprints, and continue this process until you have more kitties than you can count.

 

#6: How much does this "Golden Kitty" Sell for?

If you've checked my other thread, the only kavats I'm quite knowledgeable on is triple solids, which means the whole kavat is one solid colour. The one which sells for the most, is mesa yellow. Now you may ask why or get to typing saying it's not the rarest, but you guys need to realize that mesa yellow or "Golden" Kavats are the most popular in the market and if you manage to find someone who even understands a lot about kavats and doesn't just go "I wanna buy this cat" Because it's gold, then cheers to you, but this method will sell you the most kavats. Normally for a golden smeeta kavat, I would charge anywhere from 450-600 platinum, for a triple solid mesa yellow, and any tail and head is fine.
