Savire510
Not really, its random spawns. You may get lucky with smeeta buffs and get a bunch at the same time. Or you may just waste your time running from waypoint to waypoint. But the better, more reliant method is to just go out on an rampage in Spaceport, Labs or Nef's Statue, keep your alert level at high, use resource booster, resource drop chance, smeeta for 2x buff, and a loot frame (pref - nekros) for the best results. Keep in mind that Raknoids have a 20% chance of dropping a toroid, so Spaceport and Nef's Statue are the better candidates since for some reason Raknoids dont spawn in front of the labs. Subitayo
You can farm toroids in the Spaceport (Vega toroid), Enrichment Labs (Calda toroid), and the Temple of Profit (Sola toroid), depending on what kind you're after. I believe you can take farming frames, and resource boosters definitely help. I definitely recommend taking a Smeeta for charm buffs, like was mentioned, as well as keeping the alert level high so you keep getting enemies for the drop chance. IamLoco
My personal "best way" to get a truck load of Toroids is to go with Nekros, Smeeta, Resource Booster, Resource Drop chance booster, Necramech with Fluctus equipped. Although the Fluctus status effects seem bugged (it should proc a lot more slash status effects, instead it seems to have a forced impact proc) you can still slice and dismember a lot of enemies with it. So you go INTO space port or farm outside of enrichment labs (profit temple is too hard for the outcome). You activate Nekro´s Desecrate, jump into your Necramech and start killing stuff. Desecrate works on killed enemies in range, just be careful not to be touched by a nullifier bubble. In case a nullifier deactivates desecrate, hop out of the mech, activate again and back in. You can easily farm hundreds of toroids this way. A single run usually got me 20-50 toroids and I rinse and repeat when enemies start killing the smeeta too often. EDIT: Of course you do not NEED a mech, but for me it´s way more fun and you´re so tanky that it´s a rather relaxing thing to do.

Also is exploiter orb an event? Is it related to thermia fractures?

Is it related to thermia fractures? I dont think they changed anything with caves, but i remember that they added toroid drop to Raknoid enemies making it more profitable to just go on an rampage. Exploiter orb can be fought any time but resource used to summon Exploiter (Dilluted Thermia) can be acquired from Therma Fractures event that comes every few weeks. So stuck up on Dilluted Thermia so you can fought it anytime for Hildryn/ephemeras/toroids/resources.
Butterfly85
I usually hit up all 3 areas with tanky Nekros. If things get too hot to handle, move to the next area and repeat. Funnily enough I used those areas on Fortuna to level my Necramech
(PSN)AbBaNdOn_
no. Recruiting a group and knowing how to fight in the enemy bases is. AKA not killing the alert banners (until things get to tough or the stupid enemies glitch out and stop showing up). Thats only if you need specific roids. If you want vox standing then Exploiter is best way. 12k for just 1 roid. which can then be multiplied by a smeeta and or booster. PER FIGHT. Only downside for this is Exploiter takes diluted thermia which means you have to leech from others or do the stupid vallis fractures(that are only available at certain times). The event does double the drops from the exploiter orb, though, so if you want to use it to farm standing you might want to hold off on fighting it until the bonus is up. The event doubles credits, but only if community actually pulls through and closes the Fractures, which is quite rare. I think you mistaken Exploiter for Profit Taker. Profit Taker gives credits, and these credits can be doubled by that event booster. Exploiter has nothing that can be boosted by Thermia Fractures Event.
