Reworking old missions

So one thing that's always bothered me is the sheer amount of old game modes that could use a serious face lift.

Things like spy, capture, infested salvage, ect. A few modes like sanctuary onslaught are less mechanically boring and just require new rewards(maybe even bonuses for the grading).

Then we got modes that are... Well streight up Terrible or not there, Like RJ and raids. Don't get me wrong, the RJ itself is pretty nice. But you cannot look me in the eye and say the missions are fun on their own, especially after the 30th one.

 

If I were allowed to rework and retool some of these mods here's what I'd do.

For spy the mission itself could really just use some more mechanics. Maybe requiring you to sneak behind a guard to get past an obstacle or more moving lasers that alternate patterns. Maybe even add in some secondary vaults or key requirements at the highest level(either by stealing it or killing it's holder). And having harsher punishment for getting caught, like these groups actually want to keep you out.

For exterminate missions it's really just boring. Go in, kill, done. Maybe during these missions keeping the alarm off could be emphasized earlier on. Spawning in specialized groups of enemies with their own special drops and quirks when triggered for too long. These enemies could also buff the rest of the enemies in some way making stealth preferable in some areas and actually relevant. Reward wise exterminate could offer a small but steady stream of Endo(like 10 - 50) something newer players would definitely appreciate.

Most endless missions are mechanically and rewardly sound but could use some issues being worked out.

Sanctuary onslaught for one could use a reward rotation with something new being tossed in regularly. And your current score improving your odds of getting better stuff.

Infested salvage really needs some new stuff. Maybe changing the rewards based on what ship your pillaging. Derelict offering relics, grineer random resources and corpus massive credit stockpiles. And each one having a missing component to a bigger reward. It's currently the only use of the angstrom injector and it's just one node few people ever visit after getting nidus(actually the injector needs more use cases too).

These are just a few ideas for a few modes.(lol, it's a bit long so I'm playing cheepo and waiting a bit for more)

Why? Because money.

Probably not. But I like seeing what modes others have issue with and how they would go about finding them. Some missions are boring, others are repetitive, and some just don't offer anything for your time(I'm eyeballing RJ with this one). It's one thing to know think somethings off, but I like it when a solution to the problem is also brought up.

Being fair to SO though it dose serve a few porpoises outside of it's rewards, so it's not really that bad.
