Apparently theres a new steel essence farm.

Apparently if you go to odin, on mars, and do the interception to wave 5 and then deliberately make the rounds take as long as possible you can end up with more steel essence per hour than you could on ophelia and its less brainless of a farm. 

 

I just heard about this and im wondering if its going to get nerfed, or if they would consider deliberately making the rounds take longer to drag out more exilus units an exploit.

"Ssssh" brother bringing attention to anything like this is bad. The steel essence drop rate is a joke and we need every leg up. It's not an exploit but DE is unpredictable regarding easier farms.

this just in, Interception is more efficient of a Mission than Survival generally speaking

The last "nerf" relating to this was to patch an afk farming exploit which have always been a priority for DE to fix.

Unless dragging out rounds is causing something unintended then there isn't anything for them to fix. Though if people go and abuse it enough to be considered exploitative then this isn't the type of thing for people to get punished over at least.

Eh, I thought people did this on regular intercepts because you gain affinity everytime you recapture a point.

Besides, it's not like there isn't other missions and nodes where there guaranteed eximus spawns that you can hit up repeatedly

untill i see any nerf to octavia my worry levels are 0

just dragging on a mission isn't really an exploit by itself, but using that mechanic to gain more rare resource is another matter.

bruh, why can't people keep a secret? it's a lost art form. now that you've said it, it probably will get patched. and yes, stuff has been patched that would have otherwise gone unnoticed were it not for someone mentioning it.

I get that DE wants Steel Essence to feel special, but the current drop rate really is a joke. done hour and a half long runs and without Smeeta or other forms of drop boosting, you get hardly anything. isn't the rate like 2% or something? this 2% thing really needs to stop. 5-10% should be the absolute bare minimum really. it is possible for Steel Essence to still feel valuable, without making it as rare as unicorn farts.

A) i think its legitimately questionable whether DE would consider deliberately playing the game mode "wrong" to farm more steel essence than would normally be possible, to be a bannable exploit. 

 

B) but if not? I hope people find out about this. I dont believe in gatekeeping things in this game. Nobody is entitled to have their own super duper secret special farm that nobody else knows about. I dont care if it gets patched or not.

I just did the star chart then a couple long infested dark sector survivals with khora 2-3 ish hours and I had all the essence needed to buy everything and now have no use for steel path at all, other than maybe the bounties.

 

It should be more integrated steel path floods with base 2k kuva, and steel path fissures to maybe let you open 2 relics at a time or maybe at least more traces.

 

 Right now it just seems to be an okay I'm done now I never have a reason to go again place.

Fixed bug that let you get enough reactant in an interception node. After careful review we decided to cut deeper and limit the reactant spawn to a maximum of 9 per round of interception.

That was the reason capture targets got the bleed out timer. Could down the capture target and farm oxium ospreys that spawned regularly.

I will be very upset with the kind of Warframe player that would cheat/exploit Grineer Sealab if Interception is nerfed to the extent that I can no longer enjoy solo interception fissures because I can't pick up enough reactant between rounds. You have to hold 2 towers until you gather at least 7-8 reactant. The current system works fine for gathering sufficient reactant in low spawn situations like solo Interception. It is the cheaters/exploiters/hackers that tend to ruin everything for everyone else... and for cosmetics?

There's only 2 options here.....you either didn't know and were naively asking, not knowing (proving my point that you're naive and not malicious).....or you were faking ignorance....with the actual intentions of exposing the possible exploit. 

So which one was it??

Since you just admitted you already recorded the names of those involved...why did you make the post here in general instead of going to DE directly to report the exploit? Why didn't you just report them immediately? Do you randomly just record the names of every person in the game that does something you don't like? What was your intention in taking those names down?

Are you even able to answer this question honestly? Let's see if you're capable.

Some people (like you) seem to think theres no question that its an exploit and that it will get patched if DE finds out about it. 

And they (like you) seem to think the proper course of action is, to try to keep it some kind of big secret for only the cool kids club to use. Thats gatekeeping. Thats elitism. Thats a group of entitled people thinking theyre entitled to a more efficient farm than anyone else and that's silly. 

 

As for the point of this thread? This is general discussion. I wanted to talk about the farm. And whether its even legitimate or not. At best its a cheese at worst its cause for a ban. Because im not sure how DE would feel about it.

Everything I learn is from in game, like the ability descriptions, and the wiki. 

You can delay any round via common sense.....Here, let me give you an example: 

"Hey....from my observations, there is a set number of enemies that appear during the round of this mission. It seems the next round starts when we kill the last enemy."

"Cool, let's avoid killing the last few enemies so the defense objective has time to heal."

So maybe i can send a ticket to support so they can look into those names, if they consider it an offense that is. For all i know they dont. 

 

Thats a completely apples to oranges comparison, by the way. Letting a defense target heal doesnt get you an unusual amount of steel essence that can be exchanged for kuva. Which could give some players, the ones who know about the exploit, an edge in the riven market. You yourself called this steel essence thing an "exploit" didnt you? And didnt you assert repeatedly, that if de found out about it they would fix it. Seems like youre well aware its an apples to oranges comparison.

Your issue was the delaying of an interception mission to farm more essence, but now it has changed to not wanting people to get an edge on the riven market? Why is that your business? Is that why you took names down? What do players have to do with that, unless you were intentionally trying to do something against those players? Why would you want DE to look into specific players instead of looking into the interception mission? 

You can go to any endless mission with boosters and farm frames and get steel essence, so how is this only for "the elite" to get an edge in the riven market? Anyone can do it. 

People are already getting an edge on the market in many ways. Are you going to report someone for farming essence for 5 hours in a premade? How about buying veiled rivens in bulk? 

I don't think it's an exploit and never said it was. I said if it's a "possible exploit" then you should report it and find out. Did I actually tell you to not talk about it? 

Have you even reported it yet? Or do you just want to make sure more people do it, to record more names?
