mastery rank stuck

for some reason Ive been stuck at 3 points left on my mastery rank . Ive formaed weapons for points/exp, but nothing. Been like this for a few days now.

 

Any suggestions? Am I missing something or is this some kinda bug??

Leveling up a weapon (or any item) a second time does not grant additional mastery.  This goes for applying formas or extra copies of an item.  You have to level up new items for more mastery.

Using forma in regular weapons won't give you Mastery again. Maybe try getting a new weapon?

Actually I should clarify one small thing.  There are currently 17 weapons that violate the "adding a forma will not grant extra mastery" rule.  The Paracesis, and the 16 different Kuva Lich weapons.  For these, you will get an extra 2 ranks worth of mastery for the first 5 forma that you apply to them.
