OCD about forum join date not being all even numbers.

Message added by Letter13,

Locking this thread. While you can try reaching out to DE Customer Support regarding the matter, you should temper your expectations as the situation may not be resolvable in the way you wish it. Unfortunately, if DE Support has told you that they cannot transfer purchases or data from one PC account to another, then that is unfortunately the answer you will have to live with.

I legit created a separate PC account and made sure to complete enough missions that my forum join date would be locked in on 8/28/2020.

I'd really like to transfer my purchases over, and my name.

I'd be perfectly okay forfeiting my in-game progress, I just can't stand not having a forum join date that isn't even/even/even.

>_< it's not on console, so you don't need Switch/Xbox/PlayStations permission- it's a Warframe PC account to PC account transfer. Come on.

I mean... regardless, we can't really do anything here.

I don't want you to get your hopes up this is possible, I doubt they will/can do this.

But support ticket is the only way you would have a chance; as only support could maybe help you in some way.

The forums are really just for giving feedback about the game and asking players questions about gaming strategy and stuff.

I made a support ticket over a month ago, and they just...

Have not responded.

Pretty sure if they even respond they will ask you for proof that it's yours to avoid trading between players for irl. money, so it's better to prepare for that. (in case you use different emails, computers, IP, etc., some papers should be fine imo.)

Hope you can get it solved!

well, it's easy isn't it?

just buy DE and then order them to fix that damn date the way you want it, or else...!

that said, i pretty sure they won't transfer one account to another - regardless of your reason. they did, on occasion, 'reset'  a players account if they really wanted that (why, idk) but you wouldn't get anything carried over and are not allowed to do that yourself either, for that is the one thing that isn't tolerate with users who have more than one account.

ofc, there are ways you could do it but if they notice it, all accounts that were involved will get a ban and you would lose everything on them, so i wouldn't recommend that - at least not for some silly reasons...

They finally responded and it was clear by their response they didn't even read the ticket.

MONTHS. MONTHS to respond. They didn't even read it before closing it and marking it solved. I'm so angry I could spit.

DE Support is notoriously known for being bad. I'm sorry, dude. I understand OCD issues

Dude, Colorblind people had to wait YEARS before DE took notice of the problems it can cause in-game (and i'm speaking of a prevalence in 'genetically males' —which are admittedly the majority in such "shooter" gaming communities— of 15%)... Years, and yes, it's not perfect yet but has been a tremendous improvement, just because DE could understand that problem with a few people coming forward and share about it.

What you say in the OP is bound to get you some salt from forum readers, as it should, because it can hardly be taken as anything else than trolling.

Seriously, let me ask you a few honest questions, they all pop to mind at the same time, so excuse the (dis)order :

-Do you hate all odd numbers ?

-Do you stand looking at one of your hands and see there are only 5 fingers on it, not 6, not 4, but 5 ?

-Do you stop leveling a frame or weapon if you exit a mission and it hits an odd number ?

-Did you ever realize that the mighty "30" of completeness is "3x10" or even "2x15" or -sigh- a dreadful "6x5" ?

-Your OP contains an astoundingly HIGH amount of odd-numbered words, like, at least 19 of them. Come on !

-Do you focus all your life's endeavor into looking at that profile page of yours, which is apparently, the only place your join date is mentioned ? (also, you need to mouse-over to read the full date)

-Do you think we're all crazies for not fearing the awful terribleness that are odd numbers ?

- "2" is still divisible by "1", can the "2" still be trusted ? and what of the "0" which is both even AND odd ?

I guess you get the gist of it, simply claiming it and asking for account transfer/modification on a forum will most probably NOT get you anything but salt from the readers.

And while OCD can be quite annoying (and not only to yourself), with a 2.3% lifetime prevalence and 1.2% current prevalence in the U.S., it shows it is both lower in prevalence than colourblindness (and a bunch of other disabilities), and it can actually be cured in some people, or controlled in others.

Colourblind people, people with any of the many form of Arthritis, people missing limbs, and so many more disabilities which cannot "get better", would probably all wish they could be cured or controlled with an effort in willpower, qualified help and medicines.

My guess would be that people with OCD would "do a little mission just to get it to an even number" and deal with the rest by themselves, and certainly none of them would bother thinking of creating an account for a game they wouldn't play, but just keep refreshing their own profile page (narcissism?) to be ever-horrified of seeing the same "odd" join date, like they expected it to change...

Also, the U.S. way of displaying date is "weird" (the :clem: sort of weird), it's been discussed countless times already, but to sum it up :

-TL;DR- : be patient, don't hold your breath, and give it some sense for anyone involved at DE to even think of doing something about it with all that account modification implies.

I think you're over analyzing. The guy made a request (although in the wrong place). No need to relate his condition to others in regards to it being curable (OCD is not curable) or how others must feel.

As for vision stuff, yeah. I've made posts about issues I run into being vision impaired, and nothing changes. Beyond the UI (and that being limited), the game is occasionally not vision-impaired friendly.
