harrow farming help?

CaptainSpear

Question

I need tips to kill a LOT of infested and certain heavy armor units by myself. Im doing the horrid task of farming the defection missions.

I have fully accepted that ill be doing this solo. embraced it, even. but even with all the solo bonuses, the sheer amount of flesh to shoot can overwhelm the squad I am protecting.

I understand gas and fire is the way to go, but I cant seem to generate any meaningful killing zones from gas, and fire is *kinda* helpful, but they aren't knocking down the bodies fast enough.

i have tried using the amprex to spread out damage, however it wont trigger the gas proc even if i spec for it.

WHAT MUST I USE? WHAT STRATAGIES OR WARFRAMES OR ANYTHING MUST I HAVE? I MUST KILL 10,000 INFESTED IN 5 MINUTES. WHAT MUST I DO?

Why do you need to kill them?

The mission requires you to escort VIPs from point A to point B. I don't see any killing requirements.

Oberon can heal the guys and carpet the floor with rad procs so infested won't even bother you.

Nyx can chaos the whole map for same effect.

Wisp motes stick to defectors too. The most important thing about this is haste mote works too making defectors sonic to extraction outrunning anything.

Finally put some radiation on your amprex and get discount Hallowed Ground.

Is there any particular reason you feel the need to try kill everything?

I prefer Oberon for defection. Just plant renewal so the npcs all get the healing, and if you're getting overrun just use your grass to rad proc and/or use your 4th.

Any frame capabale of healing usually works quite well. Octavia may always work well. Even slowva probably works well.

There's Red Veil operatives spawning after a certain number of squads is saved, also some Grineer Maniacs. Those generally need to die, especially if OPs trying for more then one rotation. I remember having trouble with them when i was just a noobie. It was before melee 3.0 though, now everything dies after pressing circle a couple  times.

I use Zephyr w/ Amprex built just for Shock and call it Jazz Hands Prime.... cause Jazz Hands when they get stunned by shock. Also Zephyrs 3 with the speed augment will stop them from being shot in your turbulence and speed them up to the next point. And if you want a bit more fun add volts shock ability to add more shock dmg to your amprex.

Good Luck and don't forget the stim items they are not for warframes but for npcs so more armor or invisibility might help them survive longer. Should be in the market but some of the build requirements can be grindy.

Yes Wisp make this a walk in the park. Prioritize Max range, then Strength. If your duration is 30-40seconds that will give you plenty of time for each group to reach the next destination, so duration isnt really needed.

Place a Speed and Electric Mote on each rotation A, B, and C  "totaling Max 6 Motes" as you are marked to each location. As you trigger each wave the  40m electric will stun enemies and speed boost will make the targets run faster. All I would do is kill the infested who care the healing containers for the targets. This and you can go to level "forever."

Also if you don't kill enemies, no more will spawn because of spawn cap. So the objective is to only kill what you need to, not because you want to or can.

I can do this for 1hour and kill only maybe 30 enemies with 100% completion. If you are spamming abilities and trying to fight off enemies you are doing the mission you are just making it harder for yourself and your team.

If you want there are mods sets that make enemies fall to sleep if you damage them while aiming. The electric mote can do the damage to sleep them as you aim glide.

After a while it's about cheesing the mission and not do what is thought of, killing enemies. Spy, Interception, Rescue, Capture, etc. the easier and cheesiest will usually be the most effective. This is why Steel Path is a joke.

I wonder what WFs you have available?  Oberon is the best easy/early access WF to use for this mission - he keeps all your escortees healthy.

You really need a second person on your team. You don't need a full team, but you do need 2. Any of the stategies above can work for you - except not solo, solo sucks for some missions.

everyone, id like to thank you all for your advice. my main line of thinking was that if all infested were dead, that the VIPs would be safe, but with the sheer amount of them, that strategy would not work. thanks you all for helping me realize more strategies  that involve less resistance.

well, here i go off farming for harrow.

rap tap TAP.
