Easiest way to scan Kavats?

I've had a hard time scanning kavats, and I need to know an easy way. So, people with a kavat, how did u do it?

If you have excalibur, blind them, then scan.

If you have Titania, spellbind them, then scan.

If you have Ivara or Equinox, send them so sleep, then scan.

If you have any warframe that can go invisible, you should be able to easily scan them, given that no other enemies are nearby who may aggravate them.

Get yourself a Synoid Heliocor. Go to a orokin derelict mission (Deimos mission now) and kill everything. Youre welcome ^_^

A good cc frame, I used Limbo, big range to freeze the kavats and easily scan them. Bring ballistica prime if you can because you can scan the ghosts to get a second chance to get a genetic code. Alternatively, grab the synoid helicor from suda, or the regular helicor from simaris and melee to your hearts content. Go to a deimos capture, run around with the scanner out and look for kavats. You can also do a deimos survival, find kavats in the spawn room and get them, but I dont like having to stay for 5 minutes for that.

Or, you can buy kavat genetic code from the market, 5p each. If your doing this, you might as well buy 2 imprints to guarantee the kavat of your choice. They are about 10-15p, I think, from trade chat

Get all the widgets, including (or perhaps most importantly) the one (Vector-Thread widget) which makes the scanning faster. You know, whenever you try to take a picture of a catKavat, it will not remain still .... 🤣

Also, Cross-Matrix Widget can be handy (sometimes get two scans per scan) to increase your chances of actually getting a genetic code...

That's the way I got them scanned. It is a bit fiddly (as they don't remain still) but does work. I believe there are some frames which can stun enemies (forgot which ones) or blind them, and it should slow them down. There are tips in the Wiki. EDIT: and also already mentioned in this thread, as I was writing my reply...

The Sands of Inaros quest is also very, very useful. There are like 30+(60?90?) Kavats in the end of the first part of that quest. I was lucky to have the upgraded scanner, and a resource booster + resource chance booster at the time. Result: loads of genetic codes - IIRC 28!

I  think only the normal Heliocor will scan them if you've maxed their scans... unless that finally got fixed. Also, you won't benefit from the double scans widget that way.

Kavats spawn half of the time in first room of Derelict Survival now on Deimos, and some more can spawn during the mission. I usually take Ivara, scan them if there are present then survive 5 mins and again. Quickest maybe is aborting if the 1rst room does not have any kavat.

I do low strength limbo and time stop them, then kill them so others might spawn later

Synoid Heliocor works.. and the double scan widget works.. I farm them using it regularly.
