Is Fortuna/Vallis pretty much dead ?

I mean after the amazing "We All Lift Together" video, for it to just go the way of Cetus and just be a stepping stone is just so damn sad.

The Fortuna relay still seems pretty lively to me, and I rarely have trouble finding pubs for Profit Taker runs, so it sure doesn't seem dead to me, unless you mean that it isn't an area the devs are focusing on developing new content for.

Warframe is dying in general, the steam charts proves that garbage content like Deimos isn't enough to convince people to stay. Sad the last 2 years were really about quantity than quality. Grinding is no longer fun and the endgame content is boring. 

edit: sorry, dying isn't the right word a slow decline is more like it.

Why would people go there if they have no need to? It’s been out for a long time and DE doesn’t add anything new to it. I have everything I need/want from it (missing some things but drop rates are too low to bother).

 

Content gets boring quickly when there is no reason to do it/drop rates are too low.

Steam numbers aren't all the game's numbers and if you think it's boring maybe take a break

Not really dying, this always happend between updates, even when big and hyped updates drops

Cetus is basically finished content. Vallis will be too after third orb. What else do you want? Infinite updates to every open world? Like, why i cant just be done with some of the content available? Why cant just something end, why everything has to be infinite?

Its a f2p game and every single open world area is left open ended. So yes.

For the same reason we still keep adding Warframes.

For the same reason there are any updates to the game at all.

"Good enough" doesnt bring players and revenue to the game.

And it doesnt keep those here hooked.

I mean, by your logic, what would ever be the point of re-doing title sets ? Just bring back Corpus on grineer title sets.

There is NOTHING that will keep players hooked here. NOTHING!

Sooner or latter, they will hit the cap and they will have nothing else to do there aside from things they find fun. Because this community (At least the Dynasty Forum Warriors of it) is driven by REEEEEward.

They want REEEEwards for doing anything in here and cant enjoy the game for what it is.

I don't want an area with infinite updates and infinite content because it is unsustainable by the devs. Lets add a 4th eidelon/orb, and when people start speedruning it lets add a 5th! and then 6th!

What else? Events! Lets add a rotation of 5 different events! What when people get all the loot from the events? Dead content? NO, lets add another 5 events!

Just do the content, kill the bosses, get the loot, get the arcanes/weapons/stuff/decos and leave.

All i want from Vallis is 3rd orb and i consider Vallis a good, finished open world.

The fact that you cant spent 1000 hours in one open world doesnt mean its dead or bad.

Still doing some Deimos stuff, but too me the Plains and Orb Vallis are a more enjoyable open world. The worst I can say about Orb Vallis is that  the bounty system does not really utilize the full map and just uses a handful of locations near the Fortuna elevator.

When i saw those bugged out sentient carriers before the scarlet spear i thought it would be an interesting event.

Vallis is large, mostly empty and incomplete so yeah , no real reason to go there. i occasionally drop in when i feel like whacking a spider ,

but the emptiness....

we do need another Fortuna update, at the very least in the form of the 3rd Orb Fight. Solaris' appearance during Deadlock protocol showed that DE didn't totally forget about them since their introduction, but Orb Vallis does need a little more, as does Deimos, though Deimos is DE's current focus so it will likely get it's open world event at some point (like how we have Ghouls and Thermia Fractures.)

this is why I'm hoping Deimos will be the last major open world venture, at least for now, so they can focus on building on the rest of the game, and then eventually after that, delivering what was promised with the New War and Planes of Duviri. ideally, I'd rather not see another open world until Duviri, and some serious changes need to be made to ensure Duviri won't just feel the same as the other open worlds: it's in another plane of existence for christ's sake, Bounties, fishing and Mining shouldn't be high on the agenda there!

Then please go on and explain what they can do to make it not so "dead". Because if you can't find any justification for playing it as is currently then anything they could add would leave you in the same situation as soon as you've finished that addition. All without the thought of just constantly adding more and more brand new content to it as the mere concept of that is absurd.

Even with the third Orb, more vendor items, and Hek throw in the pointless Railjack transition and all we would have is people in the exact same position calling it "dead" within a month or two after release or at the moment they've finished all that as well.

I was actually disappointed and surprised there wasn't more update and involvement with Fortuna when the whole Deadlock Protocol thing launched. It would have been a great time to revamp some quests and reintroduce people to why Nef Anyo was important to the Solaris workers.

 

Would definitely like to see more Corpus stuff overall, especially for Railjack missions.

But it is true :> You can always run some fissures, arbitrations etc.  There is just nothing on those open worlds what corresponds to that.

Which is a shame because they are really beautiful landscapes.

Go to the wiki.

Look at what's been added to the game and make a note of the dates.

 

Primary Kitguns got added after the update to POE. It was literally only a few months ago. 

 

Yes we're waiting for the third Orb, but I'm pretty sure that you want it to be really good when you get it. Sometimes that takes time. They clearly haven't been slacking off in the mean time.
