Baklavah
Honestly, it's been long enough. If we want a LITTLE extra firepower, we seriously have to stop the rep/mod grind to go SAVE some mundane NPCs from missions that no longer hold any value to the veteran playerbase? Let the BPs drop from there for new players and people who have no Clan... but for god's sakes... just put the BPs on the Tenno Lab already. It's silly that this still hasn't happened yet. Removing Specter BPs from Rescue mission rewards would make that mission type actually useless, just as e.g. Mobile Defense / Hijack already is. ... and in case that hint was too subtle, MAKE MOBILE DEFENSE & HIJACK ACTUALLY HAVE REWARDS PLEASE THANK YOU 14 minutes ago, Dauggie said: they are in clan research tho.. orokin lab i believe although you cant research the cosmic tier one. my clan is 4+ years old and its still locked for me. only very old clan have that researched Those are different Specters, they're for the ancient, long-retired Dark Sector conflict battles. I guess, but that's... Kind of really anti-consumer design. Farming for consumables is some of the most hollow, lifeless aspects of Warframe I have to say. It is, however, a nice encapsulation for why you can't make a game entirely on "extrinsic rewards." If people aren't playing Rescue missions, that says more about rescue missions themselves than their rewards. The same goes for Mobile Defence and Hijack missions, as well - by the way. Rewards aside, more people would play them if they weren't AWFUL mission types. Hijack especially is just such a weirdly bad design. I understand that we can't get away from constant grinding. Choosing the form of our destructor is an integral aspect of modern Live Service games so we're going to have to do tedious unfun filler either way. If that's the case, then I'd personally rather have the freedom to choose which unfun missions to grind, rather than being forced into specific missions that I wouldn't touch otherwise. You can force players to play your content, but you can't force us to enjoy it.

Hijack (without the Sortie Nullifier bubble) is kinda fun, you get to ride a large vehicle (much easier done in the Corpus version), wee :D Taking potshots at enemies from on top of it, and / or leaving the payload behind while you jump into the fray, having to keep an eye on your Shields (ignoring certain Frames that more or less break that lol), seems a ~decent basis for a mission. Just needs to be expanded upon, with further different versions, including multiple / randomized-tile paths. Mobile Defense I don't exactly hate either, not least since (in both of these mission types) you can make great use of mass CC Frames since killing is not actually required, yay variety. And you kinda have it backwards, there's plenty of people playing missions they don't enjoy quite as much as others (if at all) purely for the drops, while very few players will spend their time doing mission types they enjoy but don't actually give anything of value to them. (PSN)AbBaNdOn_
What the heck are you smoking?? I have tons of vapor spectres already made and more blueprints than I will ever need and I never ever go out of my way to do rescues. How do you have no BP's or Spectres??? ----------------------------- I am down with nuking rescue nodes from the face of warframe tho lol. I also wanna redo the spectre system so create a fake squad system. Theres 3 types of spectre... thats 3 squadmates.... DE could just turn them into Squad member 1, 2, 3. Then you could summon them or it be an option to start the mission with fake squad or it just be automatic if your playing on solo.
(PSN)haphazardlynamed
About the only thing I would change with Specters from Rescue is Reverse the reward ranking order. Get so annoyed when someone sneaks in and perfect rescues the vip without any alarms or alerts, I did NOT want a measly 1x Cosmic Specter. I want my 10 x Vapors! Much more useful of a reward. Ugh and Wardens need to be much smarter about starting up the Execution Sequence. So many times I tap on on the shoulder to try and throw the Rewards Rank, but instead of running up to the Console he becomes Fixated on me and eventually my companion kills him... Noted: I intentionally go against the Objective, to try and get the lowest ranked but most useful Vapor specter rewards. And that's a problem. Pls reverse the rewards ranking order.... (PSN)jaggerwanderer
Between Sorties, void missions, and kuva siphons, there's plenty of reason to do Rescue missions. It does beg the question, why are people running out of specters? I remember a time where gear items with over 200 counts didn't get consume on use. Spawn my Ember Prime every mission I got into. Yes, and that's an artefact of poor game design - specifically DE's belief that they can't motivate players purely through intrinsic rewards. Warframe as a whole exists purely on extrinsic rewards, so we all end up playing crap we hate just because that's where DE buried the rewards we want. I'm in the privileged position of having pretty much everything I want, though, so most of what I play is content I actually like because... Well, there's nothing else TO play. Sure, there are a few more things I'd like to have, such as 5 more Scintillant for a second Xaku, but that's it. If I'm playing Warframe these days, I'm running content I like, which is mostly Lich missions as a "ghetto difficulty setting" sort of thing. If the likes of Defence and Mobile Defence didn't boil down to standing in place like a turret and shooting enemies as they run towards me in defined lanes, I'd play more of them. If Hijack involved more standing still on top of a moving vehicle playing the game with one hand, I'd play more of it. But that's ALL DE seem to make any more - some variety of defence or mobile defence. Look at Deimos - pretty much every Bounty stage is some flavour of mobile defence. Keep the geologist alive, keep the excavators alive, keep the bait station alive, keep the Grineer alive, etc., etc., etc. The only explanation I have is they've given up on creating compelling combat, so the only way they have left to simulate threat is to add secondary fail conditions, which to me personally just sucks the fun out of the experience. Deminisis
One day I decided to do a bunch of Lith Fissure Rescue missions, and now i have hundreds of built vapor specters. I have no issue with how they are earned. On a side note, I wish Cosmic and force specter BP gave more uses or at least cost slightly less. Once you get into lengthy endurance missions, a few extra levels on a cosmic specter will mean nothing.

(PSN)jaggerwanderer
...yeah that's the problem with better 'Starting' stats. It makes no difference to enemy stats.
