[Warframe Concept] Vajra, the Bringer of Lightning

Description: A mobile and dynamic electricity based frame, with an emphasis on offense and crowd control. There's a storm coming, Tenno, and it has a name...

Passive: Energized Shielding - Generates an 6 meter radial shock dealing 500 damage whenever 100 or more shields are lost. This effect has a 5 second cooldown.
 

Excess Current - Enemies affected by Vajra's abilities become inflicted by the Charged status for 20 seconds (denoted by a faint aura). Charged enemies release an electric jolt every 5 seconds which arcs between the two nearest targets within 15 meters and stuns them for 3 seconds. The Charged status also prevents shield regeneration.


1. Live Wire (25 energy; cost reduced by 50% when inhabiting enemy)

Vajra becomes a bolt of lightning and travels in a chosen direction. When used on an enemy, Vajra will teleport inside them for a short time, stunning them and dealing electric damage to anyone nearby. Can be recast to teleport to a new target or simply exit the current one. Each target inhabited grants Vajra shields/overshields, has its accuracy and movement speed permanently impaired when exited, and becomes Charged. Grants more shields when used on a charged target. When in the air, Live Wire can be aimed at the ground to shock all enemies in the vicinity on impact.

Duration: 3/4/5/6 seconds (enemy habitation time)
Range: 8/10/12/14 meters (travel range)
            4/5/6/8 meters (shock range)
Strength: 200/250/300/400 Electric damage per second
               100/200/300/400 shields/overshields gained per enemy; 200/350/500/650 shields gained on charged targets
               10/15/20/25% accuracy & slow debuff

 

2. Arc Smash (50 energy; 75 when charged)

Vajra summons an Arc Lash and smashes it into the ground in front of him. The attack knocks down enemies hit directly by it and stuns within a small radius around it. Holding the ability deals additional damage and causes enemies directly impacted to become Charged. Charged targets hit by Arc Smash have a chance to become Conduits. If used while inhabiting an enemy with Live Wire, Vajra will immediately exit the target and execute the attack. When used in the air, Vajra will bolt down to the ground and perform the attack.

            2/2/3/4 meters (stun range)
Strength: 250/350/450/550 base Electric damage (+equipped mods); 400/550/700/850 when charged
               20% chance to convert charged target into a Conduit

 

3. Conduit (75 energy)

Spoiler

Turns a targeted enemy into a Conduit, calling down continuous lightning strikes upon them. Can be used on up to three enemies at a time. Affected targets are stripped of their armor over time and create an area around them that deals constant damage as well as having a per second chance to cause enemies passing through it to become Charged. When cast on a charged target, surrounding enemies take damage equal to that of the Conduit. Can be cast while inhabiting an enemy with Live Wire.

Range: 15/20/25/30 meters (cast range)
            3/4/5/6 meters (damage radius)
Strength: 300/500/750/1000 Electric/Heat damage per second to Conduit; 200/300/400/500 Electric per second to surrounding enemies
                10% armor stripped per second on Conduit
Misc.: 15% chance per second to inflict Charged status

 

4. Twin Arc Lash (25 energy + 3.5 per second)

Spoiler

Vajra summons a pair of exalted electric whips. When activated, any overshields present are expended and converted into additional base damage. When cast while inhabiting a target with Live Wire, Vajra will exit the target and execute a heavy attack.

Strength: 2.5% additional base damage per 100 overshields

Combos

Stance: Indra's Tempest

 

Rising Thunder (standard combo): Vajra spins his right lash overhead before cracking the whip in front of him twice in succession, then finishes by spinning around to deliver a sweeping horizontal attack with the left lash. The final attack creates a forced electric proc.
Storm Front (forward combo): Vajra steps forward and swings both lashes outwardly in a downward diagonal arc four times, lunging forward with last attack.
Cyclone Breaker (block combo): A series of rapid, alternating downward strikes with the left lash, finished off with an upward diagonal swing with the right lash which procs electric.

Strident Maelstrom (block forward combo): Vajra steps forward and executes a heavy vertical attack with the left lash, follows through to perform the same attack with the right, before performing a spinning leap forward and sweeping both lashes outwardly across his body when he lands. The first two attacks proc electric, and the final attack knocks down enemies.
Roaring Wave (heavy attack): A low, sweeping attack with the right lash. Force procs electric and knocks down enemies.

 

 

The core of this one has been in my head for while now. Initially it was born out of wanting a frame with an exalted whip ability (which sadly didn't end up happening on Khora), then later when I started thinking up a more offense oriented electric frame as an alternative to Volt. Eventually the two ideas came together, and now here it is. Per usual, feel free to make suggestions or point out any issues I may have missed. Thanks for reading!
