Machete Wraith Or Corpus Hand Cannon?

I was thinking of supporting the grineer during tier 2 get the machette then help out Corpus for their pistol... makes sense no reason u cant get both.

every bloody long sword in this game is S#&$ tier. i dont want one more.

And the Prova is only a bit higher up the tier than the Skana. At least the Machete is going to have cool attack animations so if you absolutely had to get a melee weapon, which you will if you do this event, which one would you naturally want? The cattle prod that works like a long sword or the weapon that actually cuts and looks good doing it?

i thought u were comparing machete wraith with hand cannon as the title suggests? i dont care even a single bit about prova vandal. looks cool? sorry if i really want something looks cool i use skana prime.

I think you get the both, WHEN grineer wins we will get OUR machete wraith and brakk AND corpus hand cannon blueprint, same WOULD happen to corpus but i Doubts. Pirate grineer will yarr.

People are questioning whether or not they can get the Pistol if they go for the opposite melee weapon of a faction.

 

I thought it was in the notes that the winning side will get their Pistol+Slot+Potato, and the BP for the other faction's weapon.

 

Why is this even an issue, if I was correct in my reading?

 

Play one side to get their melee weapon and the pistol, and just build the BP. ..

NO. if the grineer win everyone with 100+ points will get the brakk, and the detron will be lost until who knows when.

It's most likely going to drop from Alad just like how seer drops from Vor. I expect Brakk will drop from Ruk when he gets updated.

You're mistaken.

How it works is thus:

Corpus win - Detrons go out. Those who supported the corpus get detrons with slots and catalysts free. Those who supported the grineer get detron BPs.

Grineer win - Brakk goes out. Grineer supporters get Brakk with slot and potato, those who supported corpus get Brakk BP.

It's a stick. How is that awesome? You couldn't even make it look cool if you ductaped 3 chainsaws to it. (Because then it would be a Grineer weapon!)

Lato and Braton vandal aren't much better than normal. Only the snipetron vandal is any better. :p

Exactly. The Wraith versions so far sport a ridiculous gap in power. The Vandal line... not so much.

lato vandal is much better than lato. braton vandal was better than braton till braton got buff while braton vandal wasnt.

i am not sure but t2 reward is basically a reskin, not much changed. if someone likes prova over machete sure he will like prova vandal more

I actually don't like the normal prova. This one looks shiny though. :3

Don't fret. The guns will be available later after the event. The melee won't. Focus on what melee you want.

How can you tell?

No you don't. You get the winning side's melee weapon.

"Tier Two Rewards

Complete 25 missions of any side, with the reward determined by the victor.

- IF the Corpus win: A deadly Vandal edition of the PROVA. Stun your friends in style. This weapon is super-charged and comes with a weapon slot!

- IF the GRINEER win: A Wraith edition MACHETTE starving for blood. This weapon is super-charged and comes with a weapon slot!"

And when it comes to T3 rewards; if you supported the winner you get slot / weapon / tater'ed weapon and if you backed the losers all you get is the BP (no slot no tater). The winning side determines the rewards.

 

 That means we can just do 100 missions both so if your up for it 200 missions in total so you can get the reward no matter which side wins.

The Melee is a reskin. That will be easy to replace. The gun models possibly come with custom animations and a lot of time was spent actually modelling them. DE is not going to simply trash the assets. If you remember the event with the Frost Prime, everyone is able to grind and build their own Frost Prime now. It will be the same way with the guns.

Also all exclusive event mods that were available previously were released over time. Experience tells me that the guns will both get released to the public, independent of which side wins.
