Remember back in the day how it was pretty much agreed that the Tigris Prime was a direct upgrade to the Sancti Tigris? Well it's 2020 folks and a lot of weird stuff is happening, and with the current changes to how status works with shotguns I don't know if that's necessarily true anymore. Yeah, DE really screwed over shotguns with the status nerf. From the way they’ve changed it all the only 2 shotgun type weapons that can still reach 100% status per pellet are Exergis and Cernos Prime. 2 extremely slow firing weapons. Everything else has a significantly lower status chance. So I guess their idea was that you have to fire significantly more bullets to get the same about of procs that you used to get with just 1 or 2 shots. Which is just a flat out nerf that the status stacking changes did nothing to alleviate.

beyond that, w h o    c a r e s. The tigris family was never good. Big single target damage? Woop Dee doo. Many weapons can do that. Tigris in any of its incarnations is a sledgehammer to kill ants with. Absolutely murdered whatever you hit, yes, and while you prepared to hit again, everything you DIDNT HIT murdered you. In a horde shooter.

and now, it ain't even good at single target killing. 

 

you are basically comparing the best nails in the drawer of bent, broken, discarded nails. Just use the Exergis. Mega status, synergizes with frames, no annoying trigger and same role.

TBH, I'm mostly just happy we don't need 100% per pellet anymore to have a Shotgun be good at delivering procs.

It created a rift between Shotguns that could, and those that couldn't, reach that magical threshold,
unlike now where there's quite a few Shotguns you can slap a Status (or hybrid) build on to great (enough) effect.

Mind, some (further) buffs on weapons that simply underperform, sure gimme.

Well now only 2 of them have 100% and aren’t worth using, 1 can negate the problem, a few are crit focused ones, and the rest are worthless.

Yes this was totally a worthwhile trade off. You may not have liked the divide between shotguns before. But atleast a good majority of them were worth using.
