What's the point of the new ground hole miniboss thing on Deimos?

One of the new isolation vault rooms has a big Sarlacc Pit hole in the ground, with functions as a sort of miniboss. It takes a good couple minutes to beat, and doing it opens up a chamber below it.

 

And in this chamber is..... nothing.

 

Just a portal that brings you back to the room above. Is there a hidden cache or something in this room, or is there really no point to doing the boss?

I know, I finished the boss battle three times. There's just literally no reward for doing so that I can find, unless if it's hidden somewhere.

Same problem here, too much effort to get 1 or 2 boxes of loot, i thought it was going to be something big. But at the end just a big room undergound, maybe in future updates will be something more important(i hope).

The Sarlac Pit actually is the Dead Space buttwall: has only inside.

I've run this thing a five times now, and, as it stands I don't see any need to run it a sixth.

It's just not worth the time it takes to do it.

It's my own fault, I was expecting more.

I did this puzzle thing too and was really disappointed that the only reward is nothing.

In the devstream they said "don't show anymore" or something like that. because they knew there was nothing in there. imagine the 💩show that would have ensued. DE does it again, nerfed stuff, released a half baked update with a hundred bugs. new weapons are nowhere to be found, stupid LOOONG grind for said new weapons. 0/10 DE you keep pushing the playerbase and we can only take so much. sad.

thats still jack S#&$ considering broken necramechs dont give parts. and even if they did, most of us are already drowning in necramech parts.

Can't we find broken necramechs on the surface of Deimos? Or did they mean parts used for crafting?

I am glad i am not bothering with the vaults,

barring the exclusive weapons i dont see a reason to visit them again, cause the arcanes at first glance seem to be pretty pointless..

It is honestly mindboggling that they spend time and resources to make stuff like this again and again....and give players exactly zero reason to do said "content"

So it's intended that it gives nothing? I thought for sure it was bugged. 

 

Super disappointing. Why make this thing at all if there's just a broken necramech that rewards you with nothing at the end?

 

This entire update is basically a nothingburger aside from the new weapons.

Considering they gave GOTL alerts with new weapons now I suppose this might be a place where they were supposed to drop. But as always- something didn't worked properly with that.
