How is this riven challenge possible?

I can't think of any way of doing this. How can you not take damage without using abilities?

It's actually a misleading challenge as the stipulation doesn't kick in until you're near the target. Thus you could take a frame like Rhino and use Iron Skin at the start of the mission and it still counts so long as you finish the target before losing Iron Skin and taking damage.

At the start of the mission, use abilities like rhinos Iron skin. It won't fail you if you use it at very start of the mission. Then you scan while it's running in a straight line.

As with about 71.37% of Riven challenges, the answer is Ivara. You just roll in, invisible, snap the thing without engaging with anything else, and then leave.

I always use Rhino. Prety easy one to be honest if you have it.

I always do these ones with lvara. Invisibility from the beginning of the mission doesn't count toward the ability lock, and the synthesis target won't go running all over the place as you approach them.

I dont even get excited for rivens anymore. It's always for some weapon no ones heard of or cares about.

I swear the last one i unlocked was for a weapon in an entirely different game....

Rhino iron skin at the start or ivara in prowl. Your choice.

Besides the ironskin mentioned by the other people, you can avoid using traps by using a bullet jump to knock down the synthesis target and scan it.

Thanks to the player who mentioned the invisibility on Ivara, but I just melted all the 15 rivens I had that needed this bullshlt unveiling requirement to make room.

Really you can use abilities...  I did this one with a Grineer axe guy as my target. Slowly but surely stealth killed every mob with a bow finally found my target and got him. Was a pain... Im sad now.

Yeah, you can use abilities before Simaris says "THERE IT IS!". So use something like Loki or Ivara and cloak before you get to them and then scan them before they see you. Easy peasy.

Yes can confirm that this works, I was a bit puzzled by this challenge too at first until I realized you actually CAN use abilities just not when you see the target or something.

run after it menacingly as revenant whilst saying "i'm coming for you"

Just bullet jump to your target scan..grofit. It’s one of the easiest ones to get.

i dont get it how you do it with ivara? with her invisibility spring is not possible?

i played only loki so far. and her augment isnt very helpful if i walk like grandma. so i never leveled her.

I use Ivara then quit right after the completion notification pops up.  I've gotten that riven when I was on a target cool down and I said never again.  Now I just never finish the mission.
