Her_Lovely_Tentacles Posted November 24, 2020 Share Posted November 24, 2020 TYPE: Mission/enemy spawn DESCRIPTION: If even one player stands on extraction or too close to it, the Treasurer will not spawn, even after his maximum spawn time (max. 4 minutes/8 minutes depending on mission type). The video demonstrates this, with a mission time of more than 10 minutes, the treasurer only spawns in precisely the moment I walk away from extraction for a moment. VISUAL: REPRODUCTION: have at least one person of the squad stand on extraction or too close to it. EXPECTED RESULT: Treasurer should spawn as normal OBSERVED RESULT: Treasurer fails to spawn REPRODUCTION RATE: always (10/10) It is incredibly difficult to convince other players to move outside of the tile for a moment to allow the Treasurer to spawn, which makes it even harder to have enough coins to save the captured Solaris :/ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

When they first appeared, there were issues with treasurers spawning close to the exit, then running into the exit room. Then of course if they were killed there, picking up the coin is a problem if you're the last person and people won't move out of the end room and/or stop the timer. Better that it doesn't spawn near the exit to really upset people by losing the coin than having it not spawn at all. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

From The Deadlock Protocol: Hotfix 28.0.3: Quote Treasurer Changes: If the Treasurer is within 35 meters of Extraction, he will now turn away and run to the nearest Golden Hand Tribute to avoid dying in the Extraction zone. If by chance a Granum Crown is dropped too close to the Extraction zone, they will now be teleported to a safe place. [...] As per the patch notes, he should spawn, but then run away from Extraction.
