Is there Backwards Compatibility between PS4 and PS5?
Yes! You can find the PS4 version of Warframe available for download in the Official PlayStation Store.

Can I swap between the PS4 and PS5 versions? 

Yes you can! Simply use your Options button on Warframe > Game Version > Select the version you want

Can PS4 and PS5 Players play together?
Yes! If you upgrade to PlayStation 5, you’ll still be able to play with your Squad on PlayStation 4. 

Can PS4 and PS5 Players chat?
Yes! PS4 and PS5 share the same chat servers.

Is there cross-save between the PS4 and PS5?
There will be cross-save only between PS4 and PS5.

Will PS4 and PS5 updates be simultaneous?
Yes! Future updates will be simultaneously released across both the PS4 and PS5.

Is the PS5 version of Warframe caught up to the PS4 version?
Yes! At the time of launch, the PS5 version of Warframe has everything the PS4 does. 

Does this mean support for the PS4 is ending soon?
Absolutely not! We will continue to support Warframe on the PS4 and its community. 

Can I delete either the PS4 or PS5 version on my PS5?

Yes you can! You can do so by using the "Options" button on Warframe and selecting "Delete". You will be presented with both versions to delete if you have them downloaded. 

Is there Account Migration from other platforms to PS5?
At this time, we are not allowing for Account Migration from any platforms.

Does Warframe support 4K Resolution - 60 FPS on PS5?
Warframe on PS5 will support up to 4K Resolution and 60 FPS.

Will Warframe support Adaptive Triggers on the Dualsense Controller?
Yes! Haptic feedback will be tied to firing your Weapons. An “Enable Controller Trigger Effect function” option will be available in settings should you wish to disable this feature.

Can I adjust the intensity of the vibration on my Dualsense Controller for Warframe? 

Yes! 

Are PS4 trophies transferred to PS5?

While your progress will transfer over to PS5, your trophies will not, which means that you will have to re-unlock trophies as you play. Cumulative trophies (like “Shield Saver - Deflect 1000 Bullets with Melee Weapons”) will transfer over at 99% completion. So in the case for Shield Saver, you will simply have to deflect a single bullet with a Melee weapon. However, single-action trophies earned from activities like completing Quests, will have to be redone, with some requiring other steps to fully re-unlock: 

  • Quest Trophies: Replay the Quest from the Codex. 
  • "This is What you Are - Fully Unlock a Focus Skill Tree": If you have already unlocked all of the Focus Trees, you will only have to change your configuration to complete the Trophy again. 
  • "Reach Rank 30 with insert weapon here" Trophies: You will be required to reach Rank 30 on the weapons specified. 

Are the current 7 Year Warframe PS4 Anniversary items, Alerts, and more also available on the PS5?
Yes! Everything currently live for the 7 year Anniversary on PlayStation is also available on the PS5. Sign in before December 2nd @ 2 p.m. ET to receive the items and play the Alerts. 

Is PS Plus required to play Warframe on the PS5?
No! As is the case with PS4, it is not required to play Warframe on the PS5.

Any updates on HDR? Is it avaible on the PS5 and will it be avaible on the PS4 Pro?

No updates to share at the moment other that the team is still working on it. With PS5 launch and everything else going on its been a busy time for those on the console team. We don't want to rush anything, so they will continue work on it in the new year.

Please take a look at the trophy list problem. There is a tracking achievements list inside the game itself which tells you what we've already done. There should be no reason why our trophies are not unlocked automatically. No Man's Sky managed to do this (instant platinum as soon I logged in) so why can't you?

So basically I need to either forma these weapons or re-build them? 

I’ve also noticed certain trophies not working, like the Cave trophies. I’ve ventured in and out at least 3 caves on the Vallis/Plains and it never unlocked. Shouldn’t I only have to do one if it’s at 99%? Or do I have to search them all over again?

Edit: What about “Some Assembly Required”? Since it’s not possible to build another railjack, and I’ve tried multiple times to get it to work

Shooting My Vidar Carcinoxes is one of the most satsifying things I've experienced in a long time XD... That haptic feedback + rumble combo is glorious, some of the best stuff i've seen from the Dual Sense so far... Reallly gorgeous looking game with five second loading times for open worlds, awesome ! . Not gonna lie, the PS4 version always kinda looked bad and ran like crap, and I was mostly annoyed I had spent so much time building my main account on a platform that struggled with FPS and looked bad and not on PC , but not anymore !!! Just awesome ! PS5 master RACE !!! Thanks a bunch DE !!

I've asked these questions a couple of times in earlier threads to no avail.

My guess is either DE did not see them, or it's so low on their priority list that they are not bothering with trophy issues until enough noise and people voice them out.  Either way, the silence on this is deafening.

I get it most people don't care about trophies but some like myself really do.  DE not acknowledging them or providing a clearer FAQ is disappointing.

Personally, I think they should've unlocked all PS5 trophies if you had them on PS4 (like what Marvel's Spiderman did).  Then for any new trophies going forward, only PS5 will have them.  You can still earn the challenges in-game on PS4, but the the moment you login and play on PS5 and it syncs with WF servers, your trophies should unlock.

Maybe DE will correct them in future.  But for now, it just screams messy and poorly thought out.  Sigh...

I’m definitely saddened by this but I’ll try not to let it bug me. I had all trophies aside from the Deimos ones (which aren’t available yet anyway) but seeing most of them locked just kinda bugs me. Oh well, hopefully down the road they’ll find a way to bring them over like you said.

So when I downloaded this today when it came out and was testing going to cetus to the plains of eidolon a few mins in there it crashed the game.

hope most of these issues do get fixed with what’s going on.

been seeing quite a few ps5 games crash for no reason.
