Wait you ranked up slower with subsuming frames than you hit your cap ?

Did you subsumed ability into frames ?

Yeah, the ONLY time it's even possible to run into the limit is on your first three, and even then only barely. As soon as you hit rank 4 and get your ten slots, it's not even close to possible to run out

This means I have to waste resources doing absolutely nothing productive just to level up helminth to subsume more frames.

Well, first, that's part of the point of the Helminth System, like it says it's a "for veterans" system, which gives them some place to sink the millions of materials you eventually accumulate from playing.

Second, applying subsumed (or helminth) skills is the fastest way to upgrade your helminth. I never hit the cap, and i was subsuming a new warframe every day until i hit rank 10 (now i'm missing mostly the ones that require buying stuff from simaris, and a few i haven't bothered farming for again).

Third, when you hit max rank, you get unlimited slots and don't need to worry about it ever again.

So, if you're having trouble with any of these, you might not yet be at the level where you should be worrying about helminth.
