In short you can make it not horrendous but all-in-all its just bad.

I wouldn't recommend it. Weapons such as Kunai are a near-direct upgrade. Spectra has low damage, low range, low ammo efficiency, incompatibility with Fire Rate mods, and low reliability in general.

The only thing it truly has over other secondaries is the ability to quickly apply elemental effects to surrounding enemies that are within range with a quick sweep of the camera since it's a continuous weapon. But given how easily other secondaries such as Gremlins and Hikou can do this with adequate speed mods, the tables aren't exactly tipping in Spectra's favour.
