Lumen

Ballas speaking:
Light. It may gift knowledge and life, bedazzle others in its illustrious shine, and guard from the evils lurking in the dark.
Light will gift life to the land, fill it with crops and forests, thus bringing life to those who feed off them. It will grant them knowledge and enlightenment, the same as which our empire has been built upon. Its shimmering glory, bedazzling and blinding off our golden walls. Yes, light is a giver of life, but may also be its taker.
Too much light will burn the land, and those who inhabit it. Light can blind and burn, turn glimmering beauty to festering greed, and destroy the sweet, sweet bliss of ignorance.
The giver of life, and its harbinger. Angel, and demon. Lumen.

Abilities: cast
1. Mercy:
Release a benign aura of radiant light from her lantern to heal and enlighten allies.
Restores health, removes procs, and gives increased critical chance. While this is active get energy for each enemy killed.

2. Solar Flare: cast/charge
Use Lumens lantern to release lights wrath, explode a ball of blinding light to stun foes. Removes resistances from sentients.
Charging this ability will cause enemies to ignite upon activation.

3. Lux: cycle/cast
Cycle through 4 powers granted by the light. Protector, light arrows, prism, and lantern.
------------------------
Protector: Cast a shield wall of hard light. Projectiles traveling through carry radiation damage.

Light Arrows: Cast arrows of hard light at all enemies in your sight. Those who survive the strike are blinded.

Prism: Bend light around yourself to become invisible for a short period of time.

Lantern: The powerful light from Lumen's lantern will reveal the location of enemies on the map.

4. The hateful star: cast
Create a miniature star that hovers above you. It will burn and irradiate enemies who come too close.  Reactivating ability while it is active, or letting its timer run out will cause the star to denote, igniting, blinding, and irradiating all in its blast. The longer the ability has been active, the deadlier the blast. Holding down the ability button while ability is active will charge the star. Upon releasing ability button, you will throw the star. Upon impact it will release a violent explosion of fire and radiation. Survivors are momentarily blinded.

Passive:

Upon shields taking damage, 50% chance for enemies within 10m to be stunned.

Upon using signature weapons, bonus damage with em yada yada ya

Well, that crossed my mind and seemed really nice but, the sword is kinda excaliburs thing and it seems a bit too generic and doesn't really have much to do with light other than the whole angel with a sword trope.  I was thinking more like a lantern, the hateful star, abilities, and light blasts emitted from the lantern. Even the one to turn invisible may be something like lumen blowing out the light in the lantern.

Yeah. I can see where your coming from. The abilities do make sense, and using a lantern to cast them seems pretty unique and works well for a light based warframe. Some of the ability names could use a little work though. also, is the 4 an scp reference?

Thanks, and as for the ability names.... yeah.... some do need a bit of work. I just couldn't think of anything at the time. If anyone has a better name for any abilities, go ahead and put em in here. An yes, the 4th was an scp reference.

Back ground lore and what not. Hope anyone who see's this likes it.

The heart of Deimos. The heart of the empire. Long before the martian moon was cast into the void, before it fell to the infestation, it was a place revered by the orokin. If it fell, all of the orokins defenses would fall, as would their dreaded warframes. The orokin knew this, and upon deimos they built a great citadel to defend the heart and its entrati caretakers. A full army of men supplemented by ten elite dax battalions, and a full eight wings of rail jacks were to defend this small rock. Leading them, was guardian of the heart's light, Lumen. These warriors were tasked to cull the infestation in the lower chasms of the moon and defend the orokins greatest weakness. Unfortunately, the sentients knew of this weakness. As such with their assault on the origin system, they began to assault deimos and the heart. The railjack wings fought valiantly, but were slaughtered in the opening hours.

The sentients made landfall. On the ground, the orokins warriors fought hard. They were told reinforcements were coming. But after the first day of fighting, the mighty citadel had fallen. Its garrison, slaughtered to the very last.

The reinforcements had arrived, but the embattled ground forces would receive no aid. The sentient lines were too strong. The entrati devised a plan to defend deimos, by casting it into the void. And so the dax and Lumen fought the tide of machines to buy them time with their blood. But by the end of the second day, the defenders had been forced back to the very complex that contained the heart.

Room by room, hallway by hallway, the dax fought and fell, every inch of ground paid for in blood by the sentients. Lumen and her void lantern kept them fighting, unveiling mimics as they tried to sneak amidst the dax lines, and burning the abominations as they drew closer.

The heart was ready, and so to preserve the caretakers of the heart, the entrati were locked into an isolation vault. The process would need to be started manually, by Lumen. The few dax still standing locked great gates to the hearts chamber, and prepared to make their final stand to ensure the heart would throw deimos to the void. Lumen stood solemnly, and began the process.

The heart beat faster and faster, but not fast enough. The twang of blades disappeared, the percussion rifles fell silent, the last dax warrior fell. And soon, all Lumen heard was the pounding of the machines as they tried to smash through the gates to the heart. Soon cracks appeared, she readied herself. The first hole was made, and she sealed it with her wall of hard light. Another and another, each one sealed like the last. She fired her arrows of light, but it barely slowed the creatures.

The heart was nearly done, and the beating approached its apex. But the hard light walls began to shatter, and sentients poured through the chamber gates. Putting all her remaining strength into her void lantern, she unleashed its fury unto the machines. The brilliant void light blinded them, slowed their advance to a halt. A few seconds were bought, and that was all Lumen needed. The process was done. A surge of void energy was unleashed from the heart, enveloping deimos in seconds before blinking out of the materium and into the void. The sentients on the surface of the moon were immediately killed. But for Lumen herself? She was atomized from her close proximity to the heart, leaving nothing to tell of her existence, except for a shattered void lantern.

The empire would live to fight another day, Lumen and her warriors were hailed as martyrs throughout the empire. Lumens lantern, became a symbol of defiance, of the fighting spirit of the empire, and more importantly, a symbol of hope.

It is overloaded even for my standards. It is health sustain , energy sustain , effective proc imunity and dps increase. To top that off it grants all these at the same time. Personaly I would remove the crit buff altogether and make it son the energy gain only happens when you recast the skill to end it. Something like turn on the lantern to heal allies and purge status effecs , when you recast it it emits a flash of ligh restoring energy based on the ammount healled or something.

This is amazing. It woulf be even better if it was somewhat similar to grasp of lock guns and the arrows only fired foward if there was a enemy within line of sight that is not blinded

This reminds me of the 4th skill I did for a light frame a while ago. Pretty much the same mechanics but the charge up was relied on kills instaed of up time.

Thanks. will try to rethink some these.

If you want a few sugestions for skills you probably can find something here

My old light based warframe idea. He is more of melee rush down frame them a suport but you can find a few knteresting mechanics there like ligh speed attacks ( instantaneous ) and skill that have conditional effects.

There also another good sun/ligh based warframe but I can't find the post , I think it was named Aran the sun singer. Had a really interesting buff mechanic.

About the lantern idea. Yep lantern is way better than sword because light swords have been done to death. Personally I would allow the things on the side to move and allow the lantern to double up as ligh shield ( a round shield to be precise like the captain america energy shield.

Also either quote people when replying or write their name like this @Exos. so the get a notification of your reply.
