Its a cosmetic to celebrate the launch on a new platform... Consoles have dozens of different EXCLUSIVE cosmetic packs over the years. Where the heck was your indignation then.

Seriously, you people need to lay off the cool-aid. I know its a meme to hate on Epic, but honestly, yeah, EPIC store, is crap, i mean in terms of UI and features its dog-crap. But the whole initiative? Pretty awesome and healthy, and if you weren't so brainwashed, you'd have realized that.

Putting aside how meh Epic/their launcher is ... these weapon skins look AMAZING DE. That shock rifle ... it's a thing of beauty. Good memories, it was worth the annoyance of jumping through those hoops, though the EGL taking over Steam's desktop shortcut was ... yeah.

Yes, all you need to do, is tell the Epic Launcher to intall to the same place Steam installed Warframe.
(and, un-tick the "auto-update" checkbox)

For most players, this'll be:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warframe
or:
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Warframe
(mostly depending on wheter you've got 64-bit windows or the older 32-bit versions)
Obiously, if you told Steam to install itself somewhere specific, look there instead.

The Epic Launcher, surprisingly, isn't as dumb as the Steam launcher, and will recognize you've allready got all the files.
Once it's done, launch the game from Epic Launcher.

 

Or not, looks like the resulting launcher is a ham-fisted moron, and won't recognize that you've got all the damn files.

Operator error I'd say,  everyone else that's done the below it's worked for. I put Epic Warframe to a slave drive so my STEAM version didn't get effected.

Try and verify it via the Epic software to see if it detects files missing, click on the three dots . . . under or at the end of the game depending on the view you use thumbnail or list.

Verify in the WF launcher because EGS only verifies the WF launcher since that's all you download from them.

So, we are supposed to lug around two copies of Warframe on our hard drives now? Or is the idea to get people to switch from one platform (Steam) to another? I would appreciate some clarification on this matter. My machine is a bit older and drive space is at a premium, so I can't afford to just double install games.

It's pretty much this.

Baiting fools (with shiny things) into downloading the Epic Game launcher and removing themselves from Steam and other platforms, there is a work aorund to stop you from downloading the whole game on Epic, but it's not excaly ideal as it may or may not work, depending on how well the steps are. But you need to install the epic launcher regardless and make an account (I think), but I'd won't risk it, considering what epic does.

That's best way I can explain it to you, if there is a way to claim the pack without touching the epic game launcher as a whole, people will find out how, if not, bite the bullet and try it out or leave it behind.

Downloaded and installed the launcher. And then installed a second copy of the game by it. Logged in. Nothing.
Didn't get any of this.
The games notified me that they are in my inventory but nothing.

I probably will keep it a week and if it is still like this I am going to uninstall it with the launcher itself.

Aw man, those skins are giving me UT2004 nostalgia something fierce.  I'd totally buy them for plat or cash, but I don't want to go through the effort of purging every last bit of the EGS from my system after picking them up from there.

Since my comment got removed on this I still voice myself again, It is nice to see where the priorities are now, advertising yourself on other launchers, Epic of all things. How much did they pay? It is even more nice seeing how it not seems to for most people even, they needed years or not even sure if they have a shopping cart yet, since I ignore Epic and still will not use them in any way. But those are priorities for your investors after all and not still fix things or finish all your projects in the game for once like all those false promises so far.

Remove this comment as well if you want, it only shows your guilt even more and more. Again in my first comment, while you at it let EA buy you or Activision and see how this goes as well, no one cares where the money comes from as long the product turns out decent right? Customers consume this and are addicted and defend such still as long they get something shiny from it, even Cyberpunk failed for god’s sake on consoles because they wanted too much at once.

DE stopped being a small indie long ago, as much I still try to like you but your action still speak more than your empty words. Overhyping things at your on Tennocon, "battle of Endor" phrases, or how much you plan on your Roadmap only to never deliver or barely a finished state and let it rot and rework it never or when it is too late.

did you claim it after the fix or before? if it was before, did you login again through EGS? If you did it after the fix, contact support.

i did the whole download thing, got the items received pop up in the game after launching through Epic, switched back to Stream but still no gun skins?

have i done something wrong?
