Epic Games Store Warframe Launcher reset

When I first was downloading/updating Warframe with the EGSL it got down to 20k-MB left,
but I couldn't launch Warframe on Steam while it was up,
it just kept stopping the steam's version of the launcher.

So I stopped the EGS update for it, which was around 20k-MB left,
then I started the steam version of Warframe,
and started the EGS version, so it could download/update,
while playing the Steam version.

Well, it is currently at 24,663-MB, which is more then 20k,
so it must have undone some of what was already done in that short period.

It's downloading/updating at less then 1MB per second, (when it should be 3MB per second at least, 5MB at most)
so it's going to take a few days to finish.

All this just for 3 weapon skins and a syandana.

Or instead of downloading all of that data again you could copy/paste your files from the Steam client. Copy the contents of ...\Steam\steamapps\common\Warframe\ into ...\Epic\Warframe\Downloaded\.

And that's it. Should take a few minutes and then you can launch through EGS.

O.O
THANK YOU!

You put it in the Downloaded folder, right? IIRC you've gotta get to the updating step from the Warframe launcher first, after you accept the EULA and it restarts once.

No, doing that now.
But thinking maybe I shouldn't.
Friend says EGS has the right to sell your data and passwords, that it says so in the agreement.
Does it say that in the agreement?
What do you think about that?
Is it safe?

EGS' folder structure is slightly different than Steam's. Where Steam installs Warframe to /steamapps/common/Warframe/, EGS installs Warframe to /Epic/Warframe/Downloaded/. You'd have to put the downloaded content under that folder for the Warframe launcher to recognize it.

Use a burner email (eg https://temp-mail.org/en/) and use a random password (https://1password.com/password-generator/) if you're concerned about that. They surely use collected analytics data, but so does everyone. Google and Apple and Microsoft and Valve and yes even Digital Extremes collects user data and will have a clause that states that they can share it with someone.

And if Epic was selling user passwords then you would absolutely have heard about it by now.

That does make me feel a bit better.
