is floating city posibble?

i got an suggestion for the next openworld how bout a city in jupiter or void, a floating city metropolis which is full of casino's pubs and trading area, the only way to get ther is thru a railjack. 

ok so there is this huge landing station above the city where u get ur missions, and and a long elevator going down to the floating city. 

but the catch is once ur in the city u cant use ur warframe at plane sight thats the city policy cause their like a weapons,

STORY

theres a wedding invitation sent to all tennos in ur inbox, from the Emperor and Empress,

travel in the station u go down to the city and locate the wedding,

while ur near the gate, you saw this girl running away holding something under a cloth, once u arrive at the wedding,

during the wedding ceremony a group of mimics started attacking  and asking the emperor and empress about a sentient artifact demanding to surrender it, which is the empress crown the sentients attacked the emperor as warning leaving him unconscious then the sentients left but shall return, 

when the empress tried to find it, turns out it was missing then the empress ask for the tenno help in secret at station u will find her trusty buttler which will give u quests in parts of the city which is some territories of some like mafia or yakuza stuff, (yay you can be john wick) 

u started asking them about the crown and all and it all leads to a sneeky girl who like to steal for a living who happens to like ayatan treasures(guess who) after u locate her in the city slums but this time her helmet is off, she told u that its request from nef anyo he also wanted the crown, for exchange for the crown she asked u to steal something for her,

after u got the crown and return it to the empress,

the sentients have return this time with 3 MUREX battleship then the empress gave the crown to the sentient but turns out the crown was a lost weapon key that can destroy a planets lifeform, then the sentient declared metropolist as it firing test subject, 

now its up to the tennos to stop the sentients

(is it ok if the emperor and empress are orokin since they are friendly in deimos lol they can be the creators of metropolist) 

during an anomaly invasion in metropolis to retrieve the crown again they can drop anomaly shards, anomaly shards can also be exchange for standing in metropolis

CHALLENGES - City Policie's

if the civilian sees you in warframe mode, you get cooldown u need to hide or if it went full civilians goes to panic and the guardians will try to catch u and return u to the station getting a first warning if u get third u pay some credits, you could jump to rooftops to avoid being seen

and a killing spree meter if the players keeps killing the civilians once the meter is full the city will start an operation to send guardians which gonna keep bugging you to catch tennos even in warframe or not. 

guardians are equally strong to a NECRAMECH destroy a guardian and get some parts for weapon smithing(gunsword, lightsaber, or some powerful pewpew etc...)

What is the point in this place? It just seems like a waste of time.

 

You are encouraging frame use by offering a reward for using it. But also giving a penalty that could be problematic for new players (credit fine). People probably don't want to be wasting time killing something like a Necramech without their frame.

 

I'd suggest rethinking your idea. It just makes no sense.

In general yes, if DE wanted to turn the Jupiter Gas City into an open world map they probably could. I'm not sure if it would be much more than "Fortuna 2.0" though

I can already smell the ozone of fried circuit boards, and hear the sizzling of the overworked potatoes in computers around the world. 

The salt piles would glisten gloriously in the sunlight, and be visible to the astronauts stationed in the ISS. 

And in the outer darkness there would be a wailing and gnashing of teeth loud enough to awaken the elder gods, from the Tenno who thought their garbage PC's would be able to handle it. 

 

On second thought, let's not do that afterall.

yeah i forgot that they havent unlock operator yet my bad lol but the guardians can be more vulnerable to attacks probably the guardians in the city would be low tier less stronger than necmech

but if an operation starts it will be like a guardian S.W.A.T with a big guns

I’m of the mind that any new open world needs a repeating time cycle that ends with the end of the world and a day reset. I don’t care about the theme I just want to Majoras Mask it.

 

Im over open worlds with random meaningless tasks fighting random things in random places and never changing anything while I’m in it.

A day reset means we can have massive changes to the open world for that instance of loading into the map.

None of your story elements make the least sense or context.  Jupiter is under Corporate control. There are no emperors or empresses or whatever you had in mind. There would never be fines for using warframes, and no one could force a tenno to leave it behind.  Sorry mate but none of your ideas make sense or work foundationally. The only imperial power left would probably be the duviri who are said to revere the Orokin.

Yeah, your suggestion would definitely spell doomsday for a lot of people's computers. They already whine about how they can't load the open worlds, or even the relays.

no thanks. I'd rather the three open worlds we have get expanded upon, and also be tied to the rest of the game better. Fortuna still hasn't got the Third Orb fight, and Deimos hasn't got a repeating event.

Would rather have a Mars urban wasteland. The current tile set is like proto colony stuff irl modern day Martians would likely build into the landscape and the poor end of Orokin era citizens. The open roam would a more recent Orokin era towering capital metropolis, or part of one that's been wrecked from countless conflicts between corpus and grineer.

I'm tired of wide open landscapes we cant enjoy vertical levels of movement. I want a warzone.
