Celetille
The Bubonico, Tiberon Prime, Kuva Hind and Euphona Prime all failed at accomplishing what the Cedo has: making the alternate fire useful, fun, and rewarding. With the listed guns, you typically stick to one fire mode for the majority of the time, yet DE has been pushing this idea of: apply status with one mode then finish with a strong critical in another mode. The Cedo finally got it right. The Cedo rewards you for this playstyle by dealing more damage with its primary fire based on the number of elements that are afflicting the enemy - like an innate condition overload. Based off of rough simulacrum numbers, the Cedo seems to deal about 22.7% increased damage per status affecting the enemy. The Cedo's alternate fire mode really helps its damage potential. It fires a homing glaive that bounces around, creating a radial explosion that not only deals the blast damage as shown on the stat screen, but also proccing the four base elements: toxin, cold, electric, and heat. This is unlisted and will contribute to the proc damage bonus. There's no extended animation lock for shooting the glaive, there's no switching fire modes to use the glaive, there's no reload animation for the glaive. You press alternate fire, it shoots out and bounces around while youre free to keep shooting or reload, and then it comes back to you and you can do it again. It's a very fun, easy to use system that actually significantly contributes to the weapon's damage potential.https://streamable.com/vwjjqs The result is a weapon that deals mediocre damage with only its primary fire, yet really shines when taking advantage of the secondary fire, unlike the Bubonico, which had the same goal in mind but the primary fire completely shreds enemies and the secondary is a pain to use. Congratulations, DE. You finally did it.
Lone_Dude
Can't wait for people to complain about it because its alt-fire kills level 30 grunts on Hydron too fast and "steals their kills" lmao
