I expect her to say exactly what she said excluding the below statement

"For better or worse, you’re still stuck with our decisions :P! "

I see however you're going to misinterpret what I stated which was rather specific, and attempt to twist my argument into one you'll win against instead of the actual argument

You mentioned that if she said more it could add fuel to the fire.
I am mentioning she should have SAID LESS, not more.
I also never asked for details. I think you may have quoted the wrong post, because you're sure as hell arguing something completely different

You did express confusion though.

So lets presume you are genuinely confused and misinterpreted things honestly, and did mean to quote my post.

The statement of
"For better or worse, you’re still stuck with our decisions :P! "

Was completely unnecessary. If you break these words down it essentially translates to

Regardless if the result of this change is positive or negative. You the players or people who disagree with this change; are stuck with the decision of DE.

This is then followed up with a tongue stick out emoji. A tongue stick-out emoji after such a statement can reasonably be interpreted as meaning a tease or insult, or playful but generally in a negative way.

Leave the entire message as is, but remove
"For better or worse, you’re still stuck with our decisions :P! "

As the veiled "flock off" to the people who disagree with this transaction should not be there and IS NOT PROFESSIONAL. Veiled Hostility is not professional

Here is the best part. If not intentional veiled hostility on Rebecca's part

What the hell was this statement meant to accomplish?
"For better or worse, you’re still stuck with our decisions :P! "
It is not a professional statement

The decisions Rebecca is talking about are not the "decision" to join Tencent, as it was not DE's decision to join Tencent. It was Leyou's decision to sell to Tencent. The decisions she's talking about are DE's creative decisions regarding the game. It's a different way of saying "DE is still in complete control of Warframe, so you're still stuck with DE even if you don't like DE's creative decisions."

Is it still a bit dismissive of people who are critical of DE's creative decisions (particularly those of the past few years)? Yes, it is. But the statement has nothing to do with Tencent nor is it veiled hostility. The :P emoticon is just a way to signify that you're being silly/fun with what you just said. In other words, it's meant to be a humorous statement.

Thats some bad news... I am sorry for you, now that you can't speak your mind anymore.

I hope you will fight to keep your independence and to keep the CCP influences away from Warframe or I will have to leave this community.

I am supporting you for 7 years now and I hope this is not the end, but dark times we have to endure to then to be free again.

Keep fighting DE.

Tenno!

Depending how long you’ve been around these parts, you may remember we had some acquisition news to share in 2014 and 2016.

Years have gone by, Warframe has grown and grown, and as 2020 wraps up we have another round of Acquisition news to share.

Digital Extremes (that’s us) is now owned by Tencent. We’re joining the ranks of some of our favourite developers, too! We will maintain our independence and vision for Warframe throughout it all.

Full news can be read here: https://www.digitalextremes.com/news/digital-extremes-partners-with-tencent

For better or worse, you’re still stuck with our decisions :P!

Speaking for the ...i guess 1% who stays positive (as Makari-kun who i get my glyph from believes), hope tencent speeds along any plans for cross save and cross play you might have

...hey, anyone else hear the other 99% trying not to laugh? Also...

I just hope it won't become like Dauntless after acquired by Garena, the last update was a major disaster that seems as if they're purposefully trying to kill the game.

Hey, I like the new update! More free to hunt loads of monster...bounties are less of a grind...I mean sure those bounties could be nerfed a bit since levels are too easy to get now, but I'm enjoying myself over there. Much better gameplay flow

My condolences, can't wait for the one thing that made it the best F2P game around (fair monetization) to make a sharp U-Turn.
With any luck Tencent may not interfere with the inner workings of DE, but history has shown time and time again that will not be the case.

Fellow Tenno and DE, it has been an honor to experience along side you all the birth, life and ultimately the end of this wonderful game.

The people doomposting all the bs here obviously never heard of Path of Exile/Valorant and maybe they unironically check Epic games store every week for free stuff

Or playing LoL or any of the other games from Riot.

I've been around for 5 Years. I love the game and have about at least 5k hours in-game, but with all due respect Digital Extremes.

I had quit overwatch because of the Blitz Chung debacle back when that happened and will not be supporting blizzard anytime soon.

I will most likely do it again to warframe if this happens and also make my leave from the community.

The very fact that founders are speaking out about this speaks volumes on how disastrous this situation can get.

I hope Tencent realizes that.

I hope DE will get to keep their independence, but I hate to say this but the future seems bleak from here.

Sorry to hear the buy-out by Tencent actually happened. Here's hoping the game stays in the same shape it's been in. And that certain Tencent-related things don't happen.

This is nothing to be happy about or to be pourd about. you sold out, just for money, nothing more.

If you guys are worried just now about your data being potentially given to Tencent, consider it's way too late. Your data was already taken and shared everywhere by other companies aeons ago.

That's not the thing they are worried about Lascar

Unless you are not aware to see how evil Tencent is, they've done alot worse things then "stealing data", China is responsible for alot of things, that the whole world paid for.

I don't mean to be offensive here, but trying to make my point, Tencent are not good people, never are, never will be.

I hope Tencent won't just let it be business as usual but will help you grow as a company, because you all need more talent to join your ranks and help you out. I hope they can support you in that effort, and I hope you're willing to try to improve your game and not just continue on with the status quo, as the Digital Extremes Twitter account suggested.

I don't want the game to stay in the same shape it's been in. It needs to greatly improve its foundation, its core gameplay mechanics, and it hasn't done that in 7 years.

I'm already aware, but this is not a subject we can debate here. Maybe send me a PM.

Il y a 16 heures, Tesseract7777 a dit :

I noticed way back then that things have gotten a little more P2W friendly since. More packs available for real money, not just prime vaults. New frames are harder and harder to get, some are even time limited like Hildryn.

Well... I logged and post my first message in this forum only for you !
A friend and me are MR 30 and we own like 98% of the game ; we only start events with the Wisp's release ; my friend didn't spend any money in Warframe and i only buy Forma-related and skins. So yeah you can own 100% of the game without spending any money at all !! And there is absolutely NOTHING limited time !! Every rewards of an event can be bought later with the Baro.

And this game isn't a P2W but you can call it a Pay to fast, but let me say something else : how a PvE game can be P2W ??? Think of it.

Anyway, i hope Warframe will remain the same as we know today... Only the time will tell us...

Cheers.

Potato-potato, for everybody concerned. The indie industry is getting better and prolific so hedge your bets over there if any of the cited concerns are real. We can all do with a change of scenery every now and then.

Good luck to the team o/ Thanks for making something great and hope you all stay in good health and good spirits.
