weeaboopotato
[Warframe Sentient Raid Concept] The Crimson Star Do you truly think you are truly capable enough to fight off the sentients yourself? All those sentient ships you have boarded was only just a runt. There are places even I dare not to go. However; if you truly wish to have an actual impact on the war. You must board the Crimson Star. The Crimson stars are sentient motherships. Yes you heard right, stars. There are many of them, still think you can win this war Tenno? Summary: You are to destroy a Crimson Star ship.[Encounter 1] The Velvet Doors Upon entering with your railjack, you will gaze upon the giant crimson sentient ship. Surrounding the crimson ship is a field that will immediately alert the sentients and launch a laser that will immediately kill your railjack and everyone in it. You can only infiltrate this field by hijacking a sentient ship. There will be multiple sentient ships that can spot you. If a sentient ship alerts you they will immediately call in backup and turn the field around the crimson star into a field that will disable your warframes for 5 minutes. Sending in waves after waves of sentient fighters. The objective is to avoid being spotted while also hijacking a sentient ship to avoid detection, which will allow you to bypass the detection field around the Crimson Star.[Encounter 2] Upon entering the ship you will be greeted with the sentient tile set along with your mini map being disabled. Sentients will be roaming around. You have to first get familiarized with Crimson Star's layout. To do that is to explore the entire area, finding locks doors that lead to 5 encounter locations. You can do any of these in any order. These encounters are the:Security room [Centurion Emitter] Engine Room [Scarlet Womb] Armory [Artifact Vault] Research Room [Tae Records] Communications quarters Your mini map will slowly start coming back as you explore the area [Security Room 1/5] Upon choosing to wreak the security room first, you will have to find symbols which is hidden in the map and put them in the console. This will unlock the door to the security room. In the security room you will find a giant sentient that seemed to be the one projecting the field and is invunerable. Upon detection, it will immediately disable your warframes putting you in your operator. There will be vine like sentient strands covering what seems to be pods that can be broken by your operator. Destroying them will reveal a sentient core surrounded by a red liquid similar to kuva. Shooting this core will turn it into a void charge. There are 5 pods in total around the area. The giant sentient will start calling in reinforcement. You are to throw to pick up the void charge and throw it at the giant sentient to disable its field. Which will make the giant sentient vunerable allowing to start a damage phase and allowing you to use your warframes. The Giant sentient has 4 thresholds of health. Once 1 threshold has been depleted it will turn invunerable again and activate the field that disables your warframes. You just have to rinse and repeat the void charge thing. Upon finishing this encounter, all warframe disable field mechanics will be disabled on all further encounters. [Engine Room 2/5] To go into the engine room you must finish at least 2 of the other encounters before the door opens. Upon entering you will be greeted with 4 Pillars covered in a velvet energy strands that all sentients have in common. The objective is to break these 4 pillars in order to expose the engine. Hitting a pillar will immediately start the warframe disabling field(unless you did security room first). The sentient energy strands can only be disabled via consoles. There will be several consoles around the area that are hackable. The minigame for these consoles are just to match the symbols which will show above the consoles UI to the ones you're typing out. Disabling the shield will allow you to destroy its hull which will make cores fall out. Same as security room, shooting the core with your operators void beam will turn it into a void charge. Which you can pick up to temporarily be able to use your warframe for 1 minute. However the pillar will begin to brighten and from glowing blue to red. You are to deal enough damage to that pillar within 15 seconds before it explodes. If it explodes it will down everyone within a 50m radius. If you did security room first the void charges will instead increase damage by 15% for 1 minute. These charges can also be used to delay the explosion timer by 2s per charge thrown at the pillar. A total of 4-7 void charges will drop per pillar varying on rng. All of this would be happening as sentient ads fire at you. Upon dealing with all 4 pillars, the heart of the Crimson Star will reveal itself. This will make more sentients constantly spawn in as they attempt to stop you. This engine has shields like a teralyst that can only be brought down by your operator.(edited) The engine has 4 thresholds of health. Breaking 1 threshold will make it retreat back to where it was before and the pillars will immediately repair itself. If you didnt do security room first the warframe disabling field will come back on. Thus the entire process will start over again Completing this encounter will allow you to go to extraction. You may also do the other encounters left if you wish. [The Scarlet Womb 3/5] The scarlet womb's door you just need to press x to open the door. Upon opening the door you are greeted with 4 elite sentient fighters that are all like mini bosses along with other sentient ads. The mini bosses are invunerable unless you use a void charge on them. There will be 3 areas you have to keep the sentients from obtaining. Basically an interception like point where you control the area. Upon reaching 100% on all 3 interception points. An artifact to spawn. Which can be charged yet again by your operators void energy to shoot the artifact or the person holding it to empower them. Once empowered all shots from the artifact will remove the invunerability of the elite sentient fighter. Allowing you to damage them. If an enemy does take over an area, all enemies within that interception point that has been taken over will turn into a mini version of those elite sentients that are invunerable unless you use the artifact. Let all 3 interception points be taken, a warframe disabling shield will spawn[unless you did security room]. Killing all 4 elite sentient fighters will reveal more weaponry and armanents. You can do 3 things to these armanents. a.Destroy the weapons with the artifact [gives higher drop chance of resource loot] b. Use a console that you need to hack to dump all of them out into space c.Use the artifact to charge the players with void energy which will allow you to pick up a weapon and escort them to your ship. [option only available once engine room is done] [gives higher chance of weapon loot] Upon completing this encounter all sentient damage has been reduced by 15% and it cant gain more than 4 damage type resistances. [Research Room 4/5] To enter this room you will have to find an area that will lead you to where a core can be found. You have to charge this core with your operator to create yet another void charge to use to unlock the door to the research room. Upon entering there are 4 main consoles and multiple consoles for other means in this area. Each console has a warframe disabling field around them and the main consoles have a bubble that will inable you to pass through. There will also be pods lying around and Sentients will be roaming the area, if a sentients spots you it will attempt to go to a console to alert everyone else. If they do this a data purge will happen and start a count down of 1 minute and 30 seconds. Once it reaches 0 you can no longer do the encounter. you are to do basically a sentient spy mission to obtain the data within the research room. In the research room you can find solarist being experimented on. You can rescue them if you want but they will become a rescue target you have to keep alive for the entire raid just for a chance for some extra loot. The bubbles surrounding the council can only be entered in by sentients. There will be pods around similar to the security encounter which if destroyed will drop a core. Throw the core at your feet to apply a void coating around yourself or throw to an ally to coat them in void energy which will allow you to bypass the bubbles for 30s. These pods will respawn everyone once and then and there will always be 4 pods around. Once all consoles are done with the encounter. Upon finishing this encounter you will see sentient weak points spawn on every sentient you see that allows you to bypass their resistances when shot at.(edited) [Communication Quarters 5/5] To enter the communication quarters you are to just press x on the door to enter. Upon entering the area you will be greeted with a massive sentient who are communicating with the other Crimson stars. Entering the room will immediately make it call in reinforcements and make itself invunerable. There will be 4 sentients that are invunerable that it will spawn out. There will be red glowing spots that will start spawning around the arena as large as 15m. You are to standing in this glowing spot and kill sentients on there. Killing 5 sentients on this spot will spawn a core that can be charge with a void beam to create a void charge. Using this void charge will turn the invunerable sentients vunerable. When all 4 invincible sentients have been killed the giant communication sentient becomes vunerable. The sentient will have a shield around itself that can only be destroyed by void beams like an eidolon. Which will allow you to damage it. It has 3 threshholds of health. Completing this encounter inallows the calling of reinforcement by the enemy. [Tao Mutations] Tao mutations are a new type of item that can be used on any mod to double its stats and not increase its cost however it can't be used on aura mods and only 1 tao mutated mod can be present on any item. Tao mutations are crafted by getting tao strands and sentient cores. Tao strands can be obtained through the raid. [Secrets] [Docking Bay] If you explore the the Crimson star enough you may find the door to the docking bay. The docking bay's door can only be accessed by following a sentient into it. As in only the sentients may access the door and you have to sneak in while a sentient is entering. Upon entering the docking bay there will be multiple sentients who are used as their means of transportation that you can simply kill like any other sentient. Killing them all will grant you that sentient's model as a skin for your railjack that can be used up to 50 times. Using this skin will allow you to bypass the first encounter all together by driving all the way to crimson star yourself. As the security field will always think you're one of them. [Core Synthesizer] The crimson ring is more of a gimmick zone that just gives you a mini game to play with your friends. Within this area multiple cores are all over the area. These cores can be charged with your void beams but it'll ruin the fun part. If the cores are uncharged they can be thrown at your teammates to stun them. There will also be what seems to be a line in a form of a conveyer belt that serves as the border which evenly splits the room. It is basically a dodgeball room for shiiiiiits and giggles. There are no rewards to be obtained here besides cores you can potentially use for the other encounter rooms. It's mainly used just for fun. [Scarlet Cache] Scarlet Cache's are used just loot caches you can find all over the raid for a chance of extra loot. Tao essence can be obtained from these caches. [The Greedalyst] You can find a sentient that refers to themselves as a greedalyst that can be found in the raid. The greedalyst is a vender you can find in the raid who seems to have a malfunction and see everything only as customers. They use tao essence as a form of currency to trade in blueprints and other loot in the raid. Careful though they are quite stingey with their prices and their prices always fluctuate per week. They can be selling an item for very cheap today but next week be selling it for twice the price. However if an enemy sees you the greedalyst will immediately turn on you. In case of corrupted mod, would it duplicate only the positive effect or also the negative one? In case of mods belonging to a set, would it also improve the effect of the set (such as the umbral mods, or the mods of the eidolon planes and the like)? However nice this idea, especially because it seems to alternate phases of intense combat with phases a little calmer where you have to think. I'd like to see your idea applied to reality. Yes it will double the negative affects cause that's how it makes it somewhat balance and not completely ruin the game. 3 hours ago, Enderman20 said: However nice this idea, especially because it seems to alternate phases of intense combat with phases a little calmer where you have to think. I really believe destiny 2 and warframe have a lot they can learn from each other.
