Zymos Spores rarely created for non-host players, reducing total damage.

Spores still do not function as a client.

Reproduction steps:

  1. Connect to another player's session, eg simulacrum.
  2. Have potentially flaky Canadian internet, ping of about 80ms - 180ms from South Ontario to Florida.
  3. Headshot an enemy.

Expected result: 

  1. Headshots deal contact damage.
  2. Headshots deal many 1's of damage.
  3. Headshots inflate heads.
  4. Headshots deal delayed explosion damage.
  5. Headshots create 6 spores.
    1. Spores deal 24 contact damage.
    2. Spores deal 333 explosion damage.

Actual Result:

  1. Headshots deal contact damage.
  2. Headshots do not deal many 1's of damage.
  3. Headshots inflate heads.
  4. Headshots deal delayed explosion damage.
  5. Headshots do not always create 6 spores.
    1. Spores deal 24 contact damage.
    2. Spores do not deal 333 explosion damage.

If the many 1's of damage are not dealt, it might indicate that the spores will not appear, and could be a possible link to the bug. Even if the spores do appear, they do not always deal their  radial explosion damage, reducing damage by over 93% on the spores alone, 

Zymos as host functions extremely well.

Comments:

  • Spores account for over 60% of Zymos' total base damage alone and scale much harder than the other damage, turning an otherwise extremely powerful pistol into one that shouldn't be equipped for public missions.
