Winter 2021 Featured Dojo Contest [Winners Announced]!

Take a break from the winter cold and warm up with our next Featured Dojo Contest! We’re looking for the season’s finest. Showcase the hard work and creativity that your Clan has dedicated to creating your Dojo and you could be next to be featured on the Star Chart! 

Guest Judge, Vash joins us for this round of the Featured Dojo contest! Vash is a PC Tenno who’s especially active in the Dojo community. His designs have been showcased on the Star Chart with his Clan, Cowaii!

There will be three winners per Clan tier per platform (20 first place winners in total).

• PC: Ghost, Shadow, Storm, Mountain, Moon
• PS4: Ghost, Shadow, Storm, Mountain, Moon
• XB1: Ghost, Shadow, Storm, Mountain, Moon
• Switch: Ghost, Shadow, Storm, Mountain, Moon

How to enter

Decorate your Clan Dojo by yourself or with members of your Clan. Take us on a tour by sharing image(s) and/or a video (max 3 minutes) of your Dojo in this thread. To include photos, we recommend uploading photos to a host website like Imgur and sharing the link. To include video, we recommend uploading to YouTube and sharing the link.

You must include the following information with your submission:

• Clan name
• Clan tier
• Clan platform
• Your Clan role (Must be the Founding Warlord or have Architect permissions)
• Feature image of a section of your Dojo that you want to highlight (in addition to any other images or video you choose to include)

Please keep in mind that the winning Dojos will be accessible from the Star Chart. That means that, if you win, all players will be able to access your Clan Dojo at any time!

Prizes

Winning Clans receive the bronze, silver, or gold contest trophy and massive stockpiles of resources! The number of Resources awarded to each 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner is determined by Clan size.

Rules for Submissions

• One submission per Clan
• Must list your Clan’s name, tier, and platform with your entry
• Must be the Founding Warlord or have Architect permissions for the Clan whose Dojo you submit
• Video tours must not exceed 3 minutes
• Dojo theme and presentation must be appropriate for the community forums
• Must submit to the official contest thread
• Do not reserve spots in the official contest thread
• Submissions that do not follow these rules will be disqualified
• Autumn 2020 Featured Dojo contest winners are not eligible for the Winter 2021 Featured Dojo contest. They are welcome to enter again in a future round! Please keep in mind that Clans that have never been Featured are given priority.

Rules for Winners

Given the number of players who will visit Featured Dojos, we have a different standard for content in Featured Dojos than we do for Dojos that aren't open to everyone. We may ask winners to make small changes to their Dojos for the time they are featured based on the following:

• Nothing vulgar or offensive can be included in Dojos while they are featured on the Star Chart
• You cannot change your Clan Tier until after your Clan Dojo has been featured on the Star Chart
• Winners who disregard these rules while their Dojo is featured will have their Dojos removed from the Star Chart. If deemed necessary, increased disciplinary action will also be taken

Featured Spots for winners are reserved for March - May. Each winning Clan will hold a Featured Spot for one month.

Selecting Winners

Phase 1: After the contest closes, a group of Warframe Community Team members and the contest round’s Guest Judge will take one week to review all submissions. This process includes:

1. Organizing all submissions by Clan Tier and console. Your submission will only compete with other submissions in the same category.
2. Confirming submissions obeyed the contest rules.

Phase 2: Once preparations are complete, judging begins! We begin by narrowing down submissions to top submissions. The team looks for two traits above all in this process: creativity and quality.

• Creativity: We love unique designs! Some examples of rooms that blew us away in the past are fully stocked libraries, train stations, arcades, and pirate ships. Whether your decorating style focuses on small details or big structures, we appreciate the creativity you put into your work.
• Quality: Only filling a room with decorations will not secure your victory when there’s stiff competition! Be thoughtful about how you choose to place decorations. The best Dojos we’ve seen have conveyed stories and themes. Make the decorations your own!

Phase 3: Community Team members and the Guest Judge will closely review and compare top submissions a second time to select the winners. During this stage of the judging process, additional factors are considered:

• The number of times the Clan has won and been featured on the Star Chart. Clans that have never been featured are given priority.
• If a higher Clan tier category (Mountain or Moon) has only received repeat submissions, we consider giving a larger tier Clan’s slot to a smaller Clan (Ghost, Shadow, or Storm). We do this to account for the difference in the number of submissions we receive in smaller tier categories compared to larger tier categories. From 2018 - 2020, we received 367 larger tier submissions compared to 1,685 smaller tier submissions.

Large structures are impressive, but keep in mind that small details set winning submissions apart from top submissions. Focus on creating an immersive atmosphere with details we can’t ignore. Make your Dojo a testament to your unique Clan!

Winners will be announced on February 25 during our community live stream at twitch.tv/warframe

The lore of the Dojo is that it is seperate from the Tenno Relay comprising of a system of caves in an asteroid called "the sanctum" in/infront of the void, with the tenno living in it believing the man in the wall to be our "Father in the wall".

There are small tit-bits of lore here and there, the sanctums location is shown in the star charts 3d map and when teleporting to the Tenno relay to use the Tenno lab and Drydock entrances to the other parts of the dojo are sealed off to you with messages from the lotus warning you away from the void-entity.

i tought it was fine for a solo RP-clan but damn mine looks so boring compared to some of these other stuff people made.
i dont really want random mechs and such but i want a dojo that looks like a working ship/relay kinda thing.

Very fast, a little of lore Behind my dojo:

The idea i've used to create my dojo is this: The orbiter could be attached to the "Orbiter Auxiliary Platform", in this case is a "Starfighter Class". 
The platform is used for various purpose: research, RJ docking, defence, storage, foundry/production, command center and more, and is also provided with a lot of amenities all around.
The whole platform is automated, the crew is just composed by robots and androids and the platform itself is alive.

Now some image for you and some explanation:

Admiral Hall: Is the cerimonial hall for the admiral (me) where plebeans could bow under my throne. Tther's also a hidden place you can reach using parkour skill. (The throne is not in the photo)


Bio Lab: Biological laboratories is where we absolutely don't dissect the infested to create weapons with their parts. Is also the end of travel for our cute, cuddly, furry little friend of "capture mission" in the various open world. But don't think about that... Drink this Virminik juice and move around!



Cart: This room is related to the lore of my Dojo. The "Starfighter Platform" has a complete "Tramway System" that connect most of the room. From Railjack, to the various store and to the most important room. Where ther's no tramway, some special cart are used to transport goods and resources around. This particular room is for maintenance of Cart and Tram.
Cerebro: I say in the lore something about my ship being alive... well this is the meta-brain for the ship. The white wires are his veins and transport energy and information everywhere. They could interface with console, and regular energy grid of the ship and consist of a meta-nervous-system 

Command Center: This is the Headquarter, with a command deck, a data center, and some offices for the various department present in the ship, like personnel, storage & production, research.... I've in my mind in future to remake this room, cause it was built before the "Entrati decoration update",, so i think it could be really better with the new decoration... I've post this just cause you can see the difference from the "old room" i've made, and the new one, with better decoration and more particular inside

Colossus Hall: Every dojo i've ever seen has at least one giantic statue. Maybe a big dragon, maybe an orokin phoenix, maybe a big stone ugly guys. At least i can say i've never seen one like this one: kneeling and chained, hold the great scales of justice. 

Fight room: Two fight room, there are a total of 4, and each one has his own theme. Underwater fight, Ice fight, Desert fight, and Jungle temple fight. This last two are in the image.

Foundry & Main storage area: if you want to know where those billions of nanospores you take each mission are stored, "here" is the answer...


Game room: If you want to play some "politically correct chess" you'll like this. All the pawns are the same, without difference of black and white, and you can only move on the black cells, cause there are only black. The room is equipped with a Ludoplex, in case you want to play some game in the game...

Gate: Back to lore! As i say, the "Orbiter Auxiliary Platform, Starfighter Class" is something to be atached to the Orbiter. And that's the room used to do this. In the image you can't see it well, but ther's a special bridge that now is closed. It will be opened if Orbiter arrive!

Library: One of the most impressive room of the dojo, the library have always a book for you. The telescope at the center is linked with the ship system by the wite wires. Cerebro is linked, and could help Ordis "count and account the star"

Library Entrance: An epic room need an epic entrance... This hall is the anteroom of "the library". This is an image taken during the construction; now is the image i've used to present this post. Is an example of how i change and elaborate my dojo.

Railgun: Observatory... yes.. yes... of course is not a "Colossus Cannon", the ancient gun capable of vaporize a medium-size starship in just one shot... and if i don't have one, why you should think i have 2?

Railjack: Not one of the best-decorated room... and also the image don't help too much. Since when i take this image and now, this room is really more different, more interesting... if i win you could see it =) 

Icy: 9 Frost on 10 approved this room

Rocky: This one is approved by 9 Atlas on 10

Central room: Not to much to say about this room... look just how it look to be inside a ship!

Trade: "Your Honor, I declare myself innocent! I've never traded living human, i've never traded for slave, and i've nenver heard something about.. how you call them? Kuva lich?! Yeah... neaver and never your honor". This room don't exist and if exist i don't know waht's his purpose. So.. move on the next image!  

Tram: A tramway station! As i say, my dojo is connected using "tramway lines"; sometimes you find a station =)

Trophy room: High value object... trophy and statue... everything like this is here!


Vent: A big dojo need a big ventilation-facilities room....

Industrial Sector: 2 open space and a lot of other room. Those room will be my new "foundry" and my new "main storage area", and something new will be created in the room that now are used for that purpose...

NOTE: There are a lot of other room decorated and themed. Usually you can find some information about the room in the panel just on the console. There are also some room without decoration. For those room, for now i've not inspiration on how to decorate them; so maybe in the future...

Thank you for finally clarifying the rules better, will there be a point someday when previous winners can be considered again? Many do actually add new and improve old builds.
