WHY is there not a system to prevent this stupid RNG from happening!?

Recommended Posts

Listen I know RNG is hard, even for DE who based their whole game around it.. but like.. Why the hell isn't there a system to prevent four people using the same relic, ALL RADIANT GETTING THE LOWEST TIER REWARD FROM THAT RELIC AT THE SAME TIME!!

There should be a system in place for both this and even if it's just two people using the same relic and not four.
There's no reason the RNG should be so bad that it gives two people using RADIANT relics of the same type in the same mission the same LOW tier reward.

The Void Fissure system is so forgiving that only Warframes like Loki Prime and Rhino Prime who have been vaulted a very long time see any real value. Like seriously Primes are some of easiest gear to farm in the game. I think Sporothrix takes longer to get than Guandao Prime.

The fix you are searching for is just using more Relics. I am sure you will get the part you need.

Because there is still a 50% chance of getting any of the three common drops out of a radiant relic. It's not that unlikely for everyone to roll a common at the same time.

I will say though if RNG this forgiving makes you this upset I do hope you never play any other game based around RNG. Especially not any other live service type game.

Y'all unlucky, it happens. If you all got 4 rare rewards I doubt you would be here

Nah I still would cuz it's not worth it.

Nah, cuz the fix I'm searching for is a thing to prevent four whole people in a full squad using the same relic from getting the same reward EVEN IF ITS THE RAREST REWARD nah bro.

Sure there is. If it was easy to get everything people wouldn't pay for it. Radiant relics are not the most useful thing, just use intact ones. That solves your problem, because you wont be using a radiant relic.

  • Most of the time I have not found any difference in runs to get a rare part when using radiant vs. intact. The benefit is how much easier it is to get a squad.

Then what the hell is the entire point of the system? like there's a whole SYSTEM DESIGNED to give you a higher percentage chance to get a rare reward if you upgrade the relic.
WAHT THE HELL IS THE POINT OF THE SYSTEM IF IT DOESNT ACTUALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Other people disagree with me and say it does make a difference. It is just down to luck. Radiant helps in the sense that you can get four chances at the part in one run - people are against running new relics for rare parts as intact.

You just have to try it and see. Maybe you'll find radiant does help, if you think it isn't try intact.

From the developers' perspective the grind represents content. The longer they can make people grind, the less work they have to do.

Up until people stop grinding out content for MR or new items, the grind is ever increasing with no limit.

If people had ignored 5-forma lich weapons, that option would have been abandoned. Now it's standard moving forward. Well, guess what, it's 10 forma next time then 15 and won't ever stop. Ever.

Meaning, what is fair, what is too much and so on, "is this a fun video game" is not a conversation even on the table.

On your end, your job is to skip as much of the grind as possible, cut any corner you can and even better if you can ignore content.

No one is saying you have to grind out every single piece of gear manually. Go grind out rare relics at 1/30 chance, then grind the void traces, then use stacks of relics.

I collected all the frames and I have never done anything but using whatever I randomly had.

You have to always look at what is optimal. In the time it took to grind out the relics, how many relics and plat could you have earned opening relics instead.

By the same token I don't buy forma so I am happy to get one from relic missions. Even poor items can still be converted to ducats and turned around for plat.

It's really about not doing what they want you to and setting things up to work for you.

There is a system to prevent it, player trading. When you open relics you almost always get something that’s worth platinum. Even if you end up selling them as “prime junk.” It’s essentially a self directed pity system.

If you turn all your spare prime parts into ducats and gear, then you still did benefit from those drops and they aren’t wasted :D

Changing something from a 1% drop into a 10% drop makes a huge difference, dude. That’s 1000% more likely.

You need to calm down, and stop engaging with people based on how you feel, and return to the facts at hand.

I advocate fo practicing what I call “safe farming.” Even a 10% drop chance has the potential to elude you. If you go all out, and spend 12 hours of a day farming a 10% drop chance, it’s possible you’ll still never see it.

You need to set yourself long term goals and work on them over time... otherwise you end up burnt out or having tantrums on the forum.

he's thinking in the right direction. you can never get some rewards.

For example, you can kill stalkers since realse and you will never see war bp. (like me) the same with certain rewards.
In other games it is solved: you kill a mob or do a quest and if the reward doesn't drop, the chance is CONSTANTLY increased.

Can you name a game that increases your chances per failed attempt?

I want to look into the structure of pseudo randomness.

Radiant relics are a boost for a chance to get better rewards. As It should be.

It never should be guaranteed. Otherwise there would be many problems.

You can always buy stuff from others also. That's a guaranteed drop.

First of all, I understand RNG can be frustrating.  But remember that the whole point of RNG is that it is habit forming (addictive) for us animals.  That's why casinos and betting work so well as industries.  So for a F2P game like Warframe to be successful, it has to resort to this system, or it probably would not have lasted nearly this long.

Having said that, let's math it out a bit so we can all understand how likely your scenario is to occur.  The odds of getting any Common drop from a Void Relic goes from 76% at Intact down to 50% at Radiant.  What this means is that, the odds of getting 4 Common drops are:

Intact: 0.76^4 = 33%
Radiant: 0.50^4 = 6.3%

Is that a significant improvement?  Yes.  Is it guaranteed?  No.  And trust me, you're far from being RNGesus' most hated person.  Compared to the guy who got Wisp Blueprint from Ropalolyst 6 times in a row (0.01%) or me not getting the last Requiem Mod I need after 15 Radiant runs (3.5%), your luck isn't that bad at all.

Heck, it took me roughly 50 radiants to get the last Ninkondi part I needed 😅😅

The system does make a difference. If you think it doesn't, it's because you don't know what "percentage chance" means.
