exodia contagion.exe stopped working

In eidolon hunts, at first everything seems normal but as we progress to garry and harry out of blue when I do bullet or double jump + melee attack nothing happens. It just does basic melee air attack instead of casting a projectile from the melee and it is not fixed until I die. I can not tell why and when this occur because it is completely unpredictable for me and sometimes It doesn't happen at all. It might seem a tiny thing to be annoyed but when I play as vs volt role for the hunt it impacts my gameplay a lot =(

Keep in mind that you have to also aim glide while performing the melee attack for Contagion to proc, it's not entirely clear if you were doing that as well.
