Casting abilities mid aim glide with Aero Vantage keyboard vs. controller

With Aero Vantage equipped when using a keyboard you can maintain an aim glide after casting an ability and cast again if you have fast enough casting speed but, when using a controller as soon as you cast an ability your aim glide is broken and you immediately start falling. 

Here is a couple videos showing what I mean.

 

In some situations running Aero Vantage is completely pointless if you use a controller. 

In eidolon hunts Aero Vantage is a wasted mod slot if you're using controller and a huge QoL mod if using a keyboard. 

If you are building Wisp for her passive Aero Vantage is also a wasted mod slot if using a controller. 

 

It would be nice if controller uses could get the same functionality out of a mod that keyboard users do. I'd prefer to use kb/mouse but I injured the ring finger on my kb hand years ago and it moves slow and stupid now, I still don't have much feeling in it either.

It still bothers me that casting abilities while aim gliding on controller vs. kbm gives 2 entirely different results.
