The Last Word on Creeping Bullseye, Critical Delay, Internal Bleeding, Hemorrhage and Reflex Aim

Internal Bleeding and Hemorrhage are extremely niche mods than can only be effective on a handful of weapons. They are fine as is, but please don't be under the illusion that they somehow improve Impact damage, or could even be reasonably used on an average Impact focussed weapon. They also don't work on crewmembers (A.I.) for some reason.

The core issue boils down to: In the vast majority of cases, you use up a modslot to make the Impact damage on your weapon 35% as good as Slash damage. So you'll do ~20% the damage of a comparable Slash focussed weapon. Except the Impact procs still prevent headshots. That's really bad.

Also, you just can't help yourself from introducing enemies immune to status. For example, some priority targets in the Corpus Railjack missions appear to have 99% DR against Slash procs.

Critical Delay is an extremely niche mod that sees use in rare cases where a player doesn't care much about rate of fire, while Creeping Bullseye has no usecase whatsoever.

Reflex Aim is totally fine, but a number of players find it distasteful. You can just drop the penalty, it really makes no difference, or replace the ability entirely. Just do something, It'll make a number of players happy. It is not actually autoaim by the way, it's prone to missing when the Railjack moves, or when targets don't fly in a straight line.

What weapons do you think can make good use of the impact to slash mods? I refuse to call them well made because it feels like a extremely lazy attempt to improve weapons that get impact procs frequently but I'm still interested where it's even worth the modslot.

If DE is going this route of slowly applying slash to everything. We can have a better solution. Just remove impact and puncture. Staggers are a nuisance instead of an advantage.

The only way we can save the damage system in my opinion is to butcher some damage types and incorporate them to the remaining ones. But that’s another topic.

Kuva Chakkhurr, Daikyu, and Catchmoon secondary are the best by far. Because you proc Impact 100% regardless of status/damage and can thus add Viral (Chakkhurr) or focus on crit (Catchmoon).

A couple of other weapons have forced Impact procs that only apply to part of the damage (usually the projectile, but not the AoE), not ideal but still an option.

The only weapon where you'd (potentially) make use of Impact procs from status chance might be an Impact Kuva Nukor. Because beam weapons.

But wait... Isn't the Chakkhur the Odd one out because it has Two Damage Instances with the Proc Happening only on One of them ? 🤔
