Hello fellow Tenno,

for the past few months i worked on a concept and design for a warframe that is based on thin cutting threads. His name is Razek.

In this thread i provide artwork, concept and the story of him. And his signature weapons. If people are interested, i might add an alt helmet and a better syandana.

I would love your feedback and your ideas on how to make him somewhat balanced and cool to play. Thank you all for reading and enjoy.

PS: Since english isnt my everyday language, certain grammar mistakes may occur. I would also appreciate some correction if the lore is "unreadable"

Lets start with his design.

DESIGN

So i tried to incorporate some elegant parts aswell as certain "folded" cloth turned body. I love the mag helmet and got inspired by it. I also like a little bit of chunkier legs aswell xD

The kit incorporated his design aswell. The bladed parts on his arms are used to cut the threads when needed and the little dot things are where he creates his silk from in order to use it as a weapon.

Passive- iron Silk

Razek does not possess energy. His skills draw from his silk pool shown by the silk counter. Razek is granted an armor boost of 0,25 for every silk threads that is stored within him.
Enemies hit by Razek´s skills receive a silk counter.

1 - Slicing threads
Cost: 20 silk threads
Damage: 150 / 250 / 350 / 500    + 0.5 / 0.7 / 1.0 / 2.0 damage per silk counter

Razek uses his silk threads like a whip, hitting enemies in a cone in front of him. The threads deal damage and inflict bleed on enemies. If the enemy is marked by a silk counter, the damage gets multiplied by 0.5 / 0.7 / 1.5 / 2.0 per silk counter on the target.

2- Caging silk
Cost 6 silk threads per second while activated.

Razek releases the silk threads over his body. Passing by enemies entagles them and adds a silk counter to the enemy that slows enemies movement. Targets can be passed multiple times to add more silk counters. While caging silk is active, enemies that have silk counters on them are slowed by 5 / 8 / 10 / 12 % + 8% for every other silk counter.

3- vengeful webbing
Cost: 50

Razek uses the entangled enemies to fight for him. The closest 2/4/6 enemies start attacking their comrades.

4- Final Cut
Cost: 100 silk threads

Damage: 500 / 750 / 1200 / 1400     + 0.5 / 0.7 / 1.0 / 2.0 damage per silk counter

Tap 1 for thread explosion.
Tap second time to retract threads. ( No cost )
Hold to only retract threads. ( No cost )
CD: 30/24/18 seconds

Razek’s threads forcefully shoot out of him in a circle. Enemies hit receive 500 / 750 / 1200 / 1400 damage aswell as a silk counter. Retracting takes all silk counters from the enemies and deals 1 / 1.5 / 2 / 3 times damage per silk counter previously on the enemy.

For everybody that is into lore ;)

LORE

Spoiler

For centuries, Razek‘s family created the orokins finest clothing. Elegant, beautiful, made from the most exotic materials the solar system ever layed their eyes on. But nothing compared to the robes made of iron silk. The virtuosity behind the iron silk is a masterful craft, that found its zenith in Razek. A material so powerful and strong that a single string could cut metal plating, but also flexible enough that it would stop bullets. The iron silk was a family secret, honored and well respected. Razek’s destiny was as simple as it could be. Like one string from his iron silk, he was sure about continuing the legacy of his ancestors. Unfortunately, his craft turned him from a well respected tailor into a slave to the orokins will. Entangled by the fate of his bloodline, Razek was bound by his ancestors craft.

He heard the rumors of uprisings throughout the whole solar system. The hubris his orokin masters developed over the centuries was nothing new to Razek. They wanted more elegant robes. No material was worthy touching their sacred bodies. Not even the iron silk was enough to please them. Their arrogance was only matched by their greed.

The closer the impending war drew, the more desperate the orokin became. The fear of loosing made them do horrible things. As they thought traitors would rise in their ranks, they started executing lower servants. Razek was imprisoned in one of the orokin towers and forced to craft protective robes for the towers elite. He knew they would kill him without hesitation as soon as his service became obsolete.
In a desperate attempt, he took one of the vents to sneak out of his golden cage. As he reached another vent door, he slipped through to find himself standing in a hall made of gold. Realizing that this wasn’t the shipyard to secure his escape, Razek tried to find a weapon to defend himself or something of worth for a chance to trade it for a seat on a ship off the orokin tower. His eyes made contact with a syringe that was put up in some kind of altar. „It must have some kind of worth“ he thought and took the chance to escape this place. Alarms went off as he took the syringe and the giant gate on the other end of the room slowly opened to reveal a slender figure. It was one of the orokins Razek made robes for. He recognized the stitching from far away. It was surely his work. The orokin was furious. He screamed and asked for the security team to find the intruder. Razek took the documents beneath the syringe before leaving the room through the vent again. He knew he would have to find a usage for his newly found item. Returning to his chambers, Razek took the night studying the documents to understand, that the syringe seemed to contain some kind of weapon. Something that turns flesh into metal, people into monsters. It was made to fight the orokins war. Out of nowhere, the sound of gunshots disturb the silence followed by screams. The orokin started killing people in search for the person that took the syringe. They were looking for him.

Razek knew he wouldn’t survive the next few hours even if they would not find the syringe in his rooms. Madness and fear took over reason. His life came down to one single thread. And so, Razek decided to take life into his own hands. It was time taking control for once. A single needle was enough to destroy the mechanism of the door and lock it for good. It was precious time for Razek. Time he would need to craft one final masterpiece. And so, He took his needle drove it into his skin, merging himself with the iron silk he and his ancestors honored for so long. Numbing pain ran through his body before it made way for a feeling of purpose. Something Razek missed for so long in his life.

Not sure if the screams outside his rooms stopped because everyone was dead or because of the overwhelming pain, the final stitch was done in total silence. Nothing else mattered to him anyways. One last step had to be taken. One string to hold everything in place, the syringe. The orokins weapons. Razek didn’t know what would happen if he used it on himself, but he knew that outside the door, only death would await. And so, he took the syringe and injected the serum into his body. It took less than an hour for the serum to begin the bodies metamorphosis. With his last strengh, Razek put on his ancestors robes before collapsing on the table he worked at for so many years.

The security team tasked with clearing the floor didn’t respond in hours. And so, the orokin scientist nossim send another dax unit. The team reached the floor to find bodies of its residents. Clearly killed by the first team. But as the dax reached the tailors chamber, their eyes gazed upon a massacre they couldn’t explain. The security unit was slaughtered. Their bodies were cut like paper. Perfect slices. Some hanging in glowing strings from the ceiling, while others where pinned to the wall with needles. As the security unit reached the room, they recognized a silhouette, sitting on the table. A being, human at best but far from natural. It was horrific and beautiful at the same time. Metal, iron silk and flesh combined in a single body. The reborn tailor gazed at new found prey, ready to create his new masterpiece....

Reaping Silk. The elegant death
Razek.
