Wolfstorm18 Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Spoiled Strike is currently translated as "Golpe Apodrecido" in portuguese, which is not right. "Apodrecido" is "rotten" in english, not "spoiled". The right translation would be "Golpe Prejudicado", since it have a prejudice: its more slow than a normal strike.
Renathy Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Spoiled is a synonym for Rotten. They both have similar meanings.
Taletreader Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 That's why I play in english... (and I'm Brazilian)
Rikage Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 The problem here is that this mod's original name is kinda messed up to begin with (I mean, if spoiling my strike makes it hit harder, then martial artists train very hard to...spoil their strikes!). But I agree, "golpe apodrecido", although a plausible translation, sounds reaaaaaally strange to a native speaker. Were I to translate that, I would go for "Golpe Deteriorado". This way it would keep the meaning intact and sound better ('cuz yeah, "apodrecido" sounds just bad for this mod).
